What he did to Gobert was fucking dangerous.
I agree, Monster! Klay clearly instigated the entire episode and what Green did was incredibly dangerous and egregious.

I’m tired of Kerr’s hypocrisy. He loves to virtue signal, which often includes condemning violence but he doesn’t practice his preachings. Draymond Green sucker punched a teammate in the jaw last season. Kerr’s internal response to that incident was a slap on Draymond’s wrist and his public response was deafening silence. Kerr’s belated condemnation of Draymond’s chokehold is nothing more than calculated PR. Kerr has been enabling Draymond’s behavior for many years and it’s clear that Steve Kerr holds the world around him to a much higher standard than the one he applies to himself.

I used to like the Warriors - mainly because I’m a huge Steph Curry fan. But I’ve now added the Warriors to my list of NBA teams I despise, which consists of the Lakers (because they’re the Lakers), Clippers (because they’re a mercenary team and have James Harden on their roster, Heat (because of the whole South Beach thing and Jimmy Butler), and Sixers (because their fans are assholes, I don’t like Embiid and I despise the arrogant D. Morey). Now my list includes the Warriors because of Draymond Green and Steve Kerr. It’s sad because I was a Bulls fan having grown up in Chicago and I always liked Steve Kerr.

And I agreed that his continuing enabling of Draymond's behaviors was ill-advised. But I think Kerr redeemed himself yesterday with his comment that Green's behavior was "inexcusable" and that he needed to change. Good for him, and it's about time.

I'm with you Lip, other than Steph that whole franchise blows goats. I like your list of teams too, although I'd have to add the Spurs because of my disdain for Pop.

What bothered me about Kerr’s later comments is when he said you shouldn’t put hands on anybody. WTF that’s such a stupid thing to say. These things break out all the time. Why didn’t Draymond grab his boy Klay by the head and pull him away from that Gobert guy? To be a little bit fair to Kerr he may have watched it back alter and was like…oh damn that was really bad and said so. Whether it was legit or for the cameras at least he said that. I’ve seen people double down and look like complete fools before.

How relevant Kerr is in the next few years may depend on GS ability to add talent. At one point they looked like geniuses for finding Jordan Poole. Now it’s looking like they may have done well/dodged a bullet to move on from that guy. Kuminga and Moody are still 21 but Kuminga looks to me more like maybe a nice role player if he hits than a stud. When I look at that roster I wonder what they are going to do when the HOFers can’t get it done anymore and that’s already happening to some extent. They picked James Wiseman #2 and while I think that it was a very defensible pick it’s pretty brutal to miss that poorly…wolves fans know this. The main front office brains of their past success are all gone now. What is the future for that organization? Even if you hate them it was a good run and while there was some luck and some annoyances (like adding Durant) that team was largely built from the ground up after quite a few years of being pretty bad. Teams can get back to being relevant if they make right moves and the Warriors are an example of that.
