Re: Popovich
That was ridiculous.
It's one thing for players to marginalize and dismiss the people responsible for them being M(B)illionaires. But now, a self-righteous coach who professes to be so deep does something so clownish.
Fuck that guy. Boo. BOO. BOO!!!

I'm not that old, but reading these comments makes me feel like it.
I thought Pop was absolutely right to do that. As much as Kawhi was wrong to push his way out the way he did, I think it is classless to just boo a guy like that. It's just not sportsmanlike. And for a coach to be willing to tell his own crowd to back off showed that he values principles over a simple us vs. them mentality.
When I wonder about the right thing to do in sports or coaching, I sometimes wonder what Gene Hackman in Hoosiers would do. And you know Coach Dale would have done exactly the same thing.

Re: Popovich
Watched the clip. It was cringy for him to take the microphone and make an announcement. Not to mention it was for a FT!!!! What were the SA fans supposed to do? Cheer before he took the shot? Clap and congratulate him? This reminds me of my younger days when one of the TV commentators for the Twins was dumbfounded people would boo Torii Hunter when he came to the plate....after joining the Angels. Did I hate Torii Hunter after he left the Twins, no, I simply booed him because he was on the opposing team, and when he got an out, I cheered. These weren't racial slurs (as far as I know) directed at Leonard, or death threats against him and his family, so what's the problem?
