Sac-town/Wolves GDT
Re: Sac-town/Wolves GDT
Troy Browns been good tonight. Rest of our bench has been rubbish.
Re: Sac-town/Wolves GDT
Damn Towns just let it fly
Re: Sac-town/Wolves GDT
Sabonis gets away with so much boxing out. Pushing and shoving constantly.
Re: Sac-town/Wolves GDT
A loss is fine when a team shoots like that, just can't let it compound into the next game.
Re: Sac-town/Wolves GDT
Ha, I'll take the blame on this one! Abe may have to share it though with his "regress to the mean" thread.
I love the way the Kings play basketball. Great ball movement in the first quarter led to so many open looks...and they made them. You kind of knew it wasn't our night when Kessler Edwards drained 2 3-pointers. Our perimeter defense was uncharacteristically lax though, and that was a big factor. It was nice to see us tighten up our defense when TBJ came in, but it wasn't enough. Perhaps the solver lining in this game was the emergence of Brown as a possible contributor off the bench.
We talk a lot about team identity, and I think the Wolves finally have one. Unlike the Kings, we ain't pretty. We score mostly through wild, tough one on one drives to the basket by Ant and KAT, while the Kings move the ball around and work for open shots. I prefer to watch the Kings' brand of basketball, but I think the Wolves muck-it-up style of offense might be more effective come post-season. We'll have to see...

One more thing. I would love a Kings/Wolves playoff series. All 4 games last year were fun, and last night, although disappointing, was very entertaining.
