Yeah, I just saw Jon K's tweet. So happy to hear, he should be ok. Leonard is a great guy and an amazing talent. So happy that the Wolves have him.

I missed most of the game, but I see Iowa Wolves were getting crushed tonight by 25 (though as I type they closed it a little). Moore is 2 for 12 now, and was a team worst 31 before Wolves went on a bit of run by Wheeler. Moore started 0 for 10 yesterday and just didn't look very good though he played well in second half. I am ready to move on from Moore and let somebody else take his spot if we need to open up a spot, though I get that we might be saving his contract for trade filler and won't really need to let him go until we need to bring in two guys as 15th spot is still open. Leonard Miller is looking good. Keels is playing fine too. Garza is out but he had a real nice game last night.

Miller is putting up stats these first couple games, but I question his defensive effectiveness if the team is giving up so many points. I haven't watched either of their games, but given his position, he carries a significant set of defensive responsibilities and it looks like we're just bleeding points.

I wouldn't put the team's poor performance last night on Miller. From what I watched Miller looked good on both sides and he even handled the ball well for a big man. Wendell Moore was just chucking shots so that's the number one reason the Wolves lost, but apart from Keels, Miller was playing with guys that are just filling out a G League roster and likely will never sniff the NBA. NBA experienced players like Garza, Nix, Vit and Tyrese Martin did not play even though they are technically on the roster.

I watched some of the first game. Miller is still a young player who despite the success he has legitimately had making the transition to playing as more of a traditional big he does still have instances where he plays more like a guard on the defensive end or isn’t disciplined enough. This shouldn’t be wildly surprising. In another year or 2 he hasn’t made progress on that end then it might be worth being more concerned. It would be more concerning if he was basically only a guy that can play C but he is someone that for sure is athletic enough to play PF and might even be able to play some minutes in certain situations as a SF. He isn’t some big lumbering guy that will get blown past on switches. It’s not a guarantee that Miller will make the same progress but Vanderbilt wasn’t always the defensive guy he has turned into. Miller has way more offensive upside than Vanderbilt. He still has the potential to be a bender bolt on defense and or a Naz Reid type guy on offense. Unlikely? Yes sure but there is something there and one thing I like about him is he can play with some strength too.

I’ve tried to keep an open mind about Moore even though I wasn’t a fan of the decision to draft him. But I just about ready to write him off. The guy played three years of college basketball and he’s in his second NBA season. Yet, he still looks like he doesn’t belong.

Looks like they play again tonight. They finally won a game to end November. WMJ had a double-double and a bunch of other guys I never heard of also played.
