Shake just feels like someone who is gonna be out of sorts til we really really need him in a big game and then he redeems himself.

But in the meantime, a Nix upgrade from G League must be an option

Holy hell Rudy has just been very impressive this year. He literally controls the game with his defense. Hands down has been the biggest reason for our record this season. He's playing on a totally different level than last season.

Had to miss the game tonight due to a company Christmas party. Thanks to all who posted about it. I can't comment on how we played, but I sure love the wins we are banking right now. You fans deserve this.

Great road win missing 2 key starters against a team with some talent that has actually been playing pretty well since Ball got hurt. Gobert is playing like a DPOY candidate, and as Q said above, KAT is approaching unguardable status. Poor shooting night for Bite Bite, but he still went 14-10-5 with only one TO and played very good defense. Only 9 points for Troy Brown as he is content with deferring on offense...his overall play was stellar though, and I'm not surprised he had a team-leading +15.

Shake Milton has become a whipping boy here, and frankly he deserves it. I've always liked his game, but he's a completely different player this season than he was in Philly. He'll keep getting minutes until JMac comes back, but unless he starts showing something more, I look for JMac to take away his backup PG minutes.

Single game on/off numbers mean little, so I'd like to ignore Naz's -7 and Shake's -6, but unfortunately we can't, because both of them have hurt us when they've been on the court this season...Naz is a -9 and Shake is a horrible -15 for the season. And if anyone wants to say 19 games isn't a big enough sample size, I'll counter with the fact that each of them has had a negative plus/minus every year of their careers except one...that can't be ignored. Some will argue their poor on/off history is because they are playing with reserves, but that has never hurt JMac. I tend to give Naz more of a pass because of his exceptional ability to score the basketball, but I'm afraid he may always be an on/off problem for two reasons...defense and ball stopping. I love Naz so I'm open to anyone here telling me I shouldn't be unhappy with us getting outscored whenever he's on the court, but his career performance in this area has been terrible...and unfortunately continues to trend downward.

But these are minor issues for a team that is 15-4 (a 65-win pace!) and has shown an ability to win even with both starting wings out. The emergence of Troy Brown as a serviceable rotation player is a terrific development. Now we get 3 days off to heal up before 2 very winnable games against the Spurs and Griz that should leave us at 17-4. I'm an unabashed homer, but I never envisioned a start to the season like this!

The way Shake is playing there is no reason to keep running him out there as some sort of pseudo PG. he barely does that anyway and has not been very effective. Troy Brown couple play a NAW style of PG if you need him too and he is clearly a much better defender and rebounder compared to Shake. It feels like Shake is having some sort of lost season like Nowell did last year. I obviously didn’t watch Shake play games like I had with Nowell but Shake doesn’t look like anyone worth being in a rotation for any reason this year. I don’t know what he is doing that makes him better than simply playing Nix or even Moore. He could still turn it around but almost 20 games in he looks like the FA that’s not gonna work out. He is the oldest of the guys they signed so that’s kind of a positive. Till the Wolves get healthy he is gonna keep getting some opportunities but based on Troy Brown’s play it feels like at some point if Shake doesn’t actually do something positive then he is gonna end up on the bench. Honestly I’m some ways he is worse than Nowell. At least Nowell could score in the paint. The positive for Shake is he isn’t shooting the team out of games. It would be great of Shake kinda figured things out and became a worthwhile guard.
