Naz Reid

Post by FNG »

We probably have a thread dedicated to Naz, but I couldn't find it. He has taken his offensive game to a new level. Some of the footwork and moves he demonstrated last night against the Spurs were unbelievable. His footwork reminds me a little of what Jahlil Okafor was supposed to bring, but never did. And Naz is a terrific 3-point shooter (despite his 1-7 last night) on top of his elite post game. And he's still only 24! I wonder what his ceiling is.

Professional scorer. He would average at least 20 with starters minutes.

I think the way I might describe Naz Reid is he is a massive scoring SG. He does still have aspects of his game where he plays as a big too but man he can be fun to watch. What’s interesting is his about to guard on the perimeter. Not saying he is good out there but he isn’t a big liability either. It’s gonna give the Wolves a number of options in terms of throwing lineups out there.

He made a couple of moves with his dribble in the last game that were really impressive. One was an in and out dribble that absolutely fooled his defender and led to an easy layup. He can also do cross-overs. So yeah, he has an amazing combination of footwork, handles, and touch from awkward distances that make him really effective as a scorer. He's cooled off a bit from 3 since the start of the season, but he is still a legit threat from out there.
