Josh Giddey just had sex with a 16 year old. Could be legal trouble incoming

Nuggets and Thunder battling it out. One of them has to lose, which will give us a little more breathing room at the top of the West (plus we hold the tiebreaker with Denver for now). That plus the win @ Dallas on Thursday really helps.

Ultimately, the Nuggets lost. Look out for this OKC team. I think we’re the better team. OKC is still very young. But to stay ahead of OKC over the long term after this season we’ll need Jaden and one of TC’s young draft picks (Miller or Minott) to take a big leap forward.

OKC is so loaded with young talent. SGA is one of the best players in the League and he’s only 25. The 21 year old Holmgren had 12 rebounds and 9 blocks last night. Jalen Williams, a player I wanted the Wolves to trade up for in the 2022 draft, is on track to becoming an all-star. Along with those three, OKC has the 24 year old Dort, 21 year old Giddey, 24 year old Isaiah Joe, 20 year old Cason Wallace, 22 year old Tre Mann, and 21. Year old Jaylin Williams. That’s an extraordinary collection of young talent. They also have all their draft picks plus others.

There were 10 NBA games last night. The losing team in 7 of them scored at least 114 points. The Wolves were one of only three teams to hold their opponent to less than 110.

Bottom line is that it’s really hard to defend in today’s NBA, which make what the Wolves have been doing defensively this season all the more impressive. My sense is that it gets harder to defend over the course of the season as offensive units get more cohesive and players get into high gear. That’s why it’s so important to see the Wolves start to ramp up offensively. We’ll still need to keep defending the way we have, but we’ll need to ramp up offensively to stay on top.

Agreed...This is the second time Presti has built a powerhouse through the draft. He did it the first time about 15 years ago with Durant, Westbrook, and Harden. Impressive.

That being said, OKC has had incredible injury luck this year. Their starters have missed 4 total games collectively. And their 6th and 7th men (Joe and Wallace) haven't missed a game either. They remind me of Sacramento last season. Is that going to continue and how do they hold up if SGA or Chet goes out for a stretch?

I love this OkC team. SGA is one of the best 2way players in the Association. And how weird is it that Wemby is getting so much attention (and he is a very good rookie) when he’s not nearly at Chet’s level yet? And they also have Giddey, who I hear is a wonderful mentor for disadvantaged youth in the community. Wolves/thunder games are going to be a lot of fun to watch!

FNG - I was thinking of writing something similar about Wemby compared to Chet. The Wemby hype would be more appropriately redirected to Chet. You’re right that Wemby isn’t nearly at Chet’s level right now. Also, love your Giddy quip. Hilarious!

Didn’t know where to put this but Ant impregnated a “side chick” and paid her 100k to get an abortion.

Ant and his GF are also expecting a kid

Very disappointing, kek. The callousness of Ant's texts to the woman makes him seem very unlikable. The Wolves are having an incredible season, but unfortunately the "face of the franchise" seems to be a stupid jerk. This will be a true test of the extent of my rubeness, but I expect I'll compartmentalize this and continue to cheer for Ant...shame on me.

Ant’s texts were cringeworthy. Nevertheless, like you I’ll compartmentalize this and continue loving Ant.

Maybe I’ve grown callous but it won’t be difficult for me. I wonder whether any of us would like any of our friends if we knew the intimate details of their lives, dating back to when they were in their early 20s. We certainly wouldn’t know about this private conversation between Ant and Paige except for the fact that he’s a celebrity and she was pissed when she found out Ant’s girlfriend is pregnant. Paige is apparently an instagram model. I’m not even sure I know what that is, but apparently that makes her something like a celebrity.

Now Paige is pregnant and both she and Ant are responsible for the pregnancy - both morally and legally. Ant can’t force her to get an abortion. He wants her to get one and she apparently doesn’t. Ant has offered her $100K to pay for it if she does as he clearly was trying to persuade or entice her to get one. But he can’t force her. She can take the money and have an abortion or go through with the pregnancy if that is sincerely her desire, in which case Ant will be financially responsible for the child.

She should follow her conscience and I sense that she will given her texts and the fact that she made the text exchange public. She’s certainly no shrinking violet who does whatever she’s told and doesn’t fight back. I’m not sure what she was thinking when she had unprotected sex with a 21 or 22 year old NBA star. Obviously she knew she could get pregnant as did Ant. Maybe she was hoping he would marry her, but she doesn’t seem that naive. We know what Ant was thinking — i.e., he wasn’t thinking and figured he could make any problem go away with some cash. It’s an ugly situation I wish I didn’t know about. But I suspect it’s par for the course in the world of NBA players and instagram models.
