Kekgeek grades G25 vs Heat

Post by kekgeek »

This is one of the weirdest games to grade because if you take out the 4th Q I think only 2 players would get even a B from me. Then the 4th Q happened

Conley: B
Ant: A-
Mcdaniels: D+
Kat: B+
Gobert: B+ (he was a D before the 4th)
Naz: B-
Slow Mo: C
Naw: A-
Brown: C+

Finch: A-

Fun team

I didn't see how Gobert did in the 1st half, but man, he was absolutely huge in the 4th quarter. It wasn't just the blocks, but just one great shot contest after another or total deterrence from any shot at all. I think having these perimeter bulldogs help him a ton and vice versa.

It was fun watching Ant lock up Butler a couple times down the stretch. When he takes it upon himself to play D, he's a menace.

I just finished watching the first half and I can attest that Rudy was pretty bad in that half. So I’m looking forward to seeing the better version of Rudy in the 4th when I watch the rest of the game tomorrow. Actually, none of the Wolves players were particularly good in the first half, although each player made some plays that prevented the Wolves from falling behind by 20.

I'll add one more grade...I give the Heat announcers an F. Just one example...they called KAT's perfect lob to Rudy in the closing minutes a "miss"...come on, learn the game!

I only watched the second half, but I have to agree that Rudy was a dominant force in the second half. Really fun to see how mobile he is this season.
