Yeah, KAT blatantly hooked Butler after arguably going over his back for that offensive rebound that led to the lob pass to Rudy for the emphatic dunk. Butler also tried to draw an offensive foul on KAT when he gave him a jab step and then pulled up for the mid-range J, but there was no call made (rightly so). So I thought the refs were letting a lot go for both teams late in the game. That's another reason it had a playoff feel to it and it's good to see that we could survive a physical game like that and come out on top.davemang wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 1:35 am Great game. Wolves really ground them down, but Herro in his first game back was killing us. Miami is a tough team and I can see them making another run (although with the way the Celtics, Bucks, and 76ers have been playing it's gonna much tougher than last year).
Also, another game where we get called for a 24 second violation after an offensive rebound where the ball clearly hit the net. Like how do we get these obviously bad calls so often (I think this one is even the scorer, not the refs that make the call)? Overall I think it was fairly evenly officiated - KAT was getting mugged most of the game, but they weren't calling a ton of ticky tack fouls (some of Jaden's notwithstanding) on us.

And NAW might be the perfect 7th man/spot starter. He knows what he is there for. Defense and hit a couple 3s to keep the defense honest. If the Wolves can learn how to make backcuts, lookout! Would be fantastic if we had one more 3 and D player acquisition at the trade/buyout deadlines. Point by committee has been a reason for the big drop when the starters rotate to the bench. Have we seen an actual "2nd" group or bench mob in non blowout games yet? Finchy really works to keep at least 2 starters out there.

Ha, I've noticed the same thing. Ant has fallen in love with the bank shot this season, and had a lot of success with it early in the season. But it seemed to me like his last 20 bank attempts were too strong. Nice to see this one go in!
Re: Wolves @ Heat GDT
I think he’s been shooting them from too far out a lot of the time - less margin for error the further out you get, defeating the whole point of the bank anyways.
