Nobody is fighting. But more importantly, fewer people are posting incessantly. I know it's inherently easier to bitch when writing than "well, that's a good thing"... but it's just sort of ironic that the board has cooled in intensity when the Wolves are finally good.

DLo is having a pretty nice season overall, but last night all the things that used to bug me about him were on display. Indifferent defense, sloppy passes, excessive dribbling, and forced missed shots with the outcome still in doubt. And then the classic DLo MO...the flurry of meaningless end of game points with his team hopelessly behind. The contrast with Bite Bite is palpable.
DLo started the season well, but has been completely awful in December. I'll definitely take a consistent Mike Conley doing enough to win almost every game and putting others in a place to win games over DLo pulling a regular season wins out of his ass every few weeks.
Speaking of Conley, the steal he had in the 4th was so clean and almost like patronizingly minnesota nice in a way. I'm glad he wasn't on some of the garbage wolves teams we had in the past, but I really do wish we could have him for longer than we'll be able to at this stage in his career.

I watched the replay tonight. I’ve watched replays of some games we won and wondered at various points of the game how on earth we ended up winning. Had I been watching those games in real time I would have expected the Wolves to lose. But I never had that thought watching the replay of last night’s game. The Wolves were not at their best, but they weren’t terrible and it looked throughout like the Wolves would win it.
After reading some of the posts I thought the Wolves were terrible through the first three quarters before turning it on in the 4th. While we were certainly at our best in the 4th, I didn’t think the team was terrible through the first three. Conley and KAT were the two constants throughout the game for the Wolves. They’re the two more than any of the others who kept the Wolves in the game until they started to pull away late in the 3rd and through the 4th. Rudy was terrible on the offensive end, but I thought his defense was good throughout the game - understanding that AD is a really tough matchup for him. The Lakers aren’t a particularly good team, but they’re not a bad team either. Even without LeBron they have some really good talent on that team.
