I'm kicking this one off early today as I'll be attending my first game of the year tonight. It will be a bittersweet night for me, as I'll be attending my 8th Laker game with my Little Brother (in the Big Brother program). He has always idolized LeBron, so I have to take him every year (he still rips me for taking my girlfriend to the Laker game on Valentine's Day 7 years ago). He graduates high school this year, so this is possibly our final game together cheering for opposite teams.
I'm worried about this one tonight. The Wolves have established a Bully Ball identity, but how do you bully a team starting LeBron at PG and no other guards? They rolled out this lineup 2 days ago against Charlotte and won by 19 points. It doesn't hurt to have 2 volume scorers coming off the bench either in Reeves and DLo (in a role many of us have said for years suits him best). The Wolves are favored by 3 1/2 and the place will be rocking on a Saturday night, but this one is far from a pushover. I think we need to play better than we have the past two games to win this one.

Re: Lakers/Wolves GDT
Have fun with your not-so-little-anymore Little Brother! I was at the last Laker game which we won. It was a full stadium, but our uneven play through 3 quarters kept things somewhat subdued.
I'm surprised by how healthy the Lakers have been so far, with AD playing in 30 out of 32 games, LeBron in 29, and Prince in 30. Although I see both LeBron and AD as questionable tonight. Do we luck out yet again???

If I had to guess, AD and LeBron play tonight but skip tomorrow in NO. There is still some honor in load management, I think, and Laker management isn't likely to cheat Wolves' fans out of seeing LeBron twice in nine days.Q-is-here wrote: ↑Sat Dec 30, 2023 11:31 am Have fun with your not-so-little-anymore Little Brother! Yeah, Little Bro is now 6'3", but he was already beating me one-on-one when he was 13 and 5'4"! The first time he beat me, he asked very respectfully, "So, you really played D3 basketball, huh? Basketball must have been a lot different back then."

What is KAT's status tonight?
Re: Lakers/Wolves GDT
Rudy has been incredible in warmups. He’s hitting 12-foot jumpers and all his free throws. Has t missed yet. He just hit a corner three. Nothing but net!
Now he’s taking and hitting left-handed hooks. I think he’s primed for a big game tonight.
