Same. If Bones gets cut, I'd sign him for depth and he can have the open roster spot. The same would be true for any buyout guy that could be depth for us. But our top rotation guys have earned the right to keep doing what they are doing. Therefore any additions (IMO) should be added depth for just in case someone goes down vs. upsetting the current rotations.Q-is-here wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2024 10:43 am I get the Denver connection to Bones, but having watched him play, there is no way he would get playing time on the best team in the West.
I tend to agree with Carlos that we're probably just going to roll with what we have. If there is a cheap way to add a shooter or PG depth, I'm all for it, but I wouldn't be willing to give up a 2nd rounder for Bones.
We have good depth on this team. But let's face it, several guys at the bottom of the roster could easily be upgraded. I'm talking about you Wendell Moore Jr., Josh Minott and possibly Shake who hasn't done much with us to this point.
Regarding Miller, I'm still willing to hold on him based solely on his age. He just turned 20 at the end of November. Looking at the G League stats I see he's 18th in PPG and 24th in Rebounds. So...a 19/20 year old that's a top 25 player down there is certainly worth holding IMO.
Tyrese Martin is now 37th in PPG. But I've mentioned before, while he was drafted in 2022 with WMJ and Minott, he's already 25 years old, so that sort of lessens his value IMO as this is probably as good as he'll ever get.
