I’m looking at bright side this loss means they make a move at deadline for sure.

If the team doesn’t do anything playoffs then can blow up the experiment after the year.

Welp, this team has given TC the excuse to do whatever he wants to do.

I wouldn’t have thought SloMo would be traded. But now, all bets are off.

but now the question is should Jaden be the one who goes?

Fact of the matter is 11/3 with fouls being his 2nd highest stat isn't gonna cut it anymore.

The first one Drummond clearly hit edwards on the hand. Just crazy stuff when they watch replays and still make the wrong call
Yep some very head scratching calls by the officials. The defensive 3 seconds on Gobert when he clearly outside the key. The technical on Kyle which I guess we never know what was said. The two challenges. And the first games I've ever watched where an official has gone off injured. Very unusual events.

But that wasn't the reason we lost. Kyle Anderson continues to make boneheaded play after boneheaded plays to start 4th quarters. I feel like I post this every loss. It's a common theme. And tonight was the worst of the lot. I would rather TBJ get his minutes than have to watch him play for this team again.

It's why I wanted Minott to get those fringe rotation minutes. We're all ready to see SlowMo go, but it's not gonna happen because Finch hasn't even given Minott a chance to make those mistakes. At the very least, he won't be back and push come to shove, the finances may cost us KAT. So any chance Finch gets, he has to ease in at least Minott. Otherwise this team's gonna enter next season with half the roster being unplayable.

I missed opportunity: the Thunder lost at Utah tonight.

What your 6’10 starting SF has only 1 rebound in 40 minutes in a game in which your team was out-rebounded six, that’s a problem. When that same SF has 4 turnovers and 4 fouls in the same game, that’s another problem. Obviously, I’m referring to Jaden who also had no free-throw attempts and no three pointers. I’ve been a big Jaden booster since the second half of his rookie season. He’s still scoring efficiently and defending really well. But he has to get a lot better and I’m not seeing any meaningful improvement from him this season.

Tonight’s game was emblematic of the Wolves over the past month. I’m convinced that the Wolves we’ve seen the past month is who they really are. Yes, I have recency bias, but how teams play the second half of the season tends to be more representative of their playoff prospects. So recency bias is actually a pretty reliable lens. Cream rises over time - e.g., Clippers, Suns. The Wolves are barely staying afloat. I don’t see a player out there we can get by the deadline in exchange for Slo Mo, Miller, Minott and the few second round picks we have who can be counted on to elevate this .500 team we’ve seen over the last 10 games enough to make it a championship contender. That’s why I think it would be foolish to press the panic button and empty the rest of our already depleted coffers on deadline trade for a bench player. Perhaps this team is closer than I think to what they appeared to be relative to the rest of the League the first two months of the season. I hope so, but I don’t think so.

Let me stress that none of this is Rudy’s fault. He’s been tremendous all season and remains our most reliable player. Ant and KAT certainly did everything they could tonight. But as a team, we’re just not championship caliber. And I don’t believe we’re one bench player away.

I think it would be honest to say that Karl and Rudy are so important and virtually irreplaceable and at the same time not terribly valuable in potential trades. Jaden is arguably the opposite. Can he step in and replace what either does? That is a ton of projection. Could he fetch a haul? Most certainly. I'm still a big Jaden fan but tough decisions will need to be made and it's been in the back of my mind that Jaden might end up being the one going out.

I think that’s a pretty accurate assessment, Phenom.

It's happened too many times now. Tonight they just didn't come out of the 2nd half locker room with any intensity. But I think you have to say this is who we are. We have had some really disappointing losses, and you can't get those back.
