The first domino has fallen!
From Woj:
The Utah Jazz are trading Simone Fonteccio to the Detroit Pistons for a 2024 second-round pick, sources tell ESPN.

Okay...everyone has been on pins and needles waiting to learn who was going to win the Fonteccio sweepstakes. I think things are going to start moving fast with that mystery solved.

The Celtics are sending a 2027 second via Atlanta and a 2030 second via Dallas to the Grizzlies, sources tell ESPN. Boston gets Tillman, a young, versatile frontcourt player who gives them some depth for a championship run.

Yeah, nice move by the Celtics. They already have the best starting lineup and (perhaps with the Clippers) the best roster in the Association. But still they went out to get another depth player...they are clearly all in. I've been kind of thinking the Wolves didn't have to (and won't) make a deal because they already have a rotation that can win a chip, but this makes me think I am wrong about this. Now I'm leaning toward the Wolves making a deal, although more likely a buyout guy rather than a trade.

I think it will be both: a trade and a buyout.FNG wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 1:44 pmYeah, nice move by the Celtics. I also really think SloMo is so much worse than last year (he's the player I thought he was!), that he could be traded to match salaries, which also opens the door for TBJ.
Re: Trade Deadline GDT
Solid rotation guys for 2nd round picks. This bodes well for the Wolves.

Heard slowmo took his wolves stuff off his social media. Heard may be going to Toronto. Just hearsay at this point
Re: Trade Deadline GDT
Umm.. Was he on social media? I'm not sure I see a fit with Toronto, unless it's a 3-team deal. Both Bruce Brown and Dennis Schroeder are too expensive.Crazysauce wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 2:48 pm Heard slowmo took his wolves stuff off his social media. Heard may be going to Toronto.
