Wolves at Clippers GDT

Post by 60WinTim »

Lots of excitement for this one tonight. Guess I'll be sleeping in tomorrow morning! :)

First, it is an opportunity for a statement game. The Wolves hardly get noticed by the national media people. They almost all seem to think it will be the Clippers coming out of the West. We beat them once in our house with a solid defensive effort, although I thought both Kawai, and especially George, missed some shots they might normally make. A loss tonight is not unexpected, and we would simply move on. But a win would be one heck of a statement and might just catch the attention of the some the national media people.

On another note, with a couple practices under his belt, we might see some Monte Morris minutes! Although it is hard to expect a whole lot. He is out of shape after his recent return from injury. But you know, the entire team might have a jolt of adrenalin surrounding his addition...

3 road games left before the break, and it would be great to win at least 2 of them. Our schedule after the break is very home game friendly compared to the other three contenders, so a couple road wins would really put us in a good place. Tonight's gonna be difficult though.

Denver is getting smoked in Milwaukee. Some of that Pat Bev juice? Maybe we’ll get some Monte juice!

Of course, Murray is sitting out the 2nd half. But they were getting smoked when Murray was on the floor.

And he was terrible while he is in...only 3 points on 1 for 5 shooting. At least we know we'll be at least a 1/2 game ahead of the Nugs at the end of the night, and maybe 1 1/2 ahead.

Jaden, who had been questionable with Lip’s “springer finger”, is in.

Pretty interesting first quarter

Clippers have decided to try to take Ant out of the game by double teaming him with Gorge and Kawhi

Wolves trying to put Zubac in much action as possible and already got him to pick up two quick fouls.

Nice job of KAT limiting the stray voltage in his first stint.

Doubling Naz and leaving Kyle Anderson by himself is a new one
