Yeah, this would be a good move. It means converting Garza does not make much sense. Neither does Gallo. But Evan Fournier would really add to our depth. Go get him, Rudy!
Buyout Market

Re: Buyout Market
For some reason I've always disliked Morris Sr. Maybe it's because of his multiple assault charges off the court. But now that signing him seems imminent, I researched the reason for the assaults...and they actually seem justified. I'm over it. He has been good enough to start several games in recent years at PF for good teams (and might have started at PF for us tonight if we had signed him over the weekend). Let's do it.
Re: Buyout Market
I went back and read some about that assault incident. They were acquitted and regardless that was around 9 years ago that it happened. I don’t really know if the Morris twins are particularly good human beings or not but they have always had a bit of edge to them on the court and the Wolves could use some of that. We will see if he actually comes here. I don’t think he has even been waived by the Spurs yet.FNG wrote: ↑Mon Feb 12, 2024 8:52 amFor some reason I've always disliked Morris Sr. Maybe it's because of his multiple assault charges off the court. Re: Buyout Market
The Suns add Thadeus Young. And I see a rumor of their interest in Gallinari as well, someone I wish the Wolves would take an interest in...
I guess Marcus Morris has not been bought out, yet. If not waived, the two parties need to agree on a buyout price.

Re: Buyout Market
I hope this is just a bump in the road because I really think Marcus Morris would be a great addition to the Wolves roster down the stretch and in the playoffs. Then I’d fill the final roster spot with Fournier if we can get him. Otherwise, I’d keep it open until near the end of the season and then fill it with an internal player - maybe Garza or Carton.
Re: Buyout Market
The still have time but Morris has not been bought out yet and Fournier is getting rotation minutes for the pistons so I don’t think he will get bought outLipoli390 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2024 11:45 pmI hope this is just a bump in the road because I really think Marcus Morris would be a great addition to the Wolves roster down the stretch and in the playoffs. Re: Buyout Market
Gallo to the Brew City Bucks. I'm assuming buyouts might pick up during the all star break or shortly after so guys are playoff eligible.
Re: Buyout Market
I liked the idea of adding Gallo, but it does not make much sense to add both Marcus Morris AND Gallo. I assume the Wolves valued Marcus more so than Gallo, although it is certainly possible Gallo wanted the Bucks more. Apparently he has a chance to be part of the frontline rotation for the Bucks, but he would most be insurance for the Wolves.
Marcus has to arrange a buyout with the Spurs first, which mean they need to agree on a buyout number. And maybe Marcus wanted a vacation all the way through the all-star break...
The Wolves have one week before they MUST add a body to the roster.
Re: Buyout Market
Such a brilliant move by the Bucks. They're a team that can shoot but can't defend, so they went out and got...
a guy who can shoot but can't defend
