Griz at Wolves GDT

Post by 60WinTim »

A second straight back-to-back, but again, home vs a sub-.500 team.

KAT is back, SloMo is out, and ANT and Rudy are questionable.

Assuming Rudy and ANT are in, it'll be interesting to see how the bench unit handles a zone defense without SloMo. Otherwise, just win baby!

A number of other interesting games tonight, including Kings at Nuggets and Lakers at Clippers. The Clippers didn't look very good their last game without PG, and PG is out again tonight.

Finch doesn't seem to trust guys beyond his set rotations other than a little JMac from time to time. But Minott, WMJ, Nix, Miller and Jackson...so far only see action for closing minutes of blowouts. And that has held true even when guys sit i.e. KAT yesterday and Conley/Gobert other games.

I remember a few games ago he played Minott at the end of a quarter (1st or 3rd Q) when it was still close. It was the tiniest of nibbles - like 30 seconds or so - during what would be considered a consequential part of the game. But yeah, that's about it for any of the young guys.

We may be a little banged up, but the Grizzlies are a disaster...6 key players out hurt and now Kannard is sick and missing the game. Konchar is doubtful too. This is one we need to close out early.

Well, we know how “need to close out early” and our Wolves go!

10-0. Anyone want to bet me that we still win by 20?

Jaren Jackson Jr always plays well against us. I think he takes his match up against Gobert personally.

Pretty bold statement with SloMo unavailable…

NAZ is so good and he's going to be great. Best contract in the NBA IMO

Nice move by Finch. Monte not hitting, bring in Jmac and good stuff happens.

The depth at PG is nice to have!
