Rudy was a -16, and it felt like it.

I was actually pretty frustrated with Ant until he went all supernova in the 2nd half. Selfish shots, looked off open guys, got a little lazy at times on defense or didn't get back because he was complaining.

It's a long way of saying that I agree with the A, but it ain't easy with him sometimes!

I actually agree with you. I almost typed in the game thread saying this is one of Ant laziest games I’ve seen. Then he went nuts

Goberts first honest to goodness bad game while only playing 27 minutes and taking 4 shots.

Agree. But I at least give him credit for being out there. He was listed as questionable with a bad ankle (Edwards too) - so maybe that had something to do with it - IDK. But at least he was out there. Remember last year he was dealing with a bad back and SloMo was yappin' at him for not trying hard enough (leading to the infamous punch). What's the old saying...the best ability is availability? We needed Rudy out there since SloMo was a no go.

A much needed better game from McDaniels. Hopefully we get him straight for the play offs. There are going to be times when he must step up offensively because other guys are hurt, fouled out or completely defended. He has to be the guy that can pick up the slack when needed and last night he did. Hopefully this helps spring him out of his offensive funk.

Saw this stat last night about Monte Morris

Monte Morris in the seven games played since joining the Timberwolves:

• 21 assists
• 1 turnover

His 21-1 assist-to-turnover ratio is tied for the best mark in the NBA in that stretch.

Yeah, it's pretty cool that we have three PGs right now that are all super secure with the ball, make the right pass, and can hit the open 3 (it might finally be for real with McLaughlin?). They are the perfect antidote to the volatility of players like KAT and Ant.

Kek, you're a brave man to take on the grading task tonight, but I'm still going to nitpick.

First and foremost, I can't accept 5 A's when we struggle to beat the G(League)rizzlies on our court. So I'm going to downgrade JMac to an incomplete (although I love what he brought in his 4 minutes). And I'm going to downgrade Jaden to a B-, and I think that is generous. His rebounding was atrocious, and he certainly didn't look all-defense against JJJ (although I loved his off-ball blocks). Yeah, he returned to form in offense with 12 points, but I can't give him an A.

And then there's Ant. Damn, what a 3rd quarter...as I said in the GDT, we don't win tonight without it. But I think we have to punish him for his disinterested defense and his 1 on 3 dribbling in the first half, as well as his clowning bank shots. Thanks Ant for winning this game for us, but maybe you can show up ready to play in the first half next game. He needs a little tough love.
