The Clippers needed it, played like it, and got it on our home floor.

Since Towns friend died (he was finally in a good spot mentally) he has shot 39%, 25% from 3, has had 5 or more fouls in 2 of his 3 games (he had hit 5 fouls in his last 15)
Just one game but I’m a tad worried about him mentally

Tough loss. Came out firing in the 1st. Capitulated in the 2nd. Lost the 3rd and 4th Quarters.
Our defense was good but too many turnovers and poor shooting. We are our own worst enemies in a lot of these loses.

Turnovers and not clicking on offense are two hallmarks of this team. Obviously, those aren’t going to change at this late date. And that’s why I have a hard time seeing this team end up in the NBA finals. It’s also why we’re vulnerable to a first-round exit.

But think of it this way. If Naz had hit just one of his 3 shots from behind the arc or even 1 of his 4 two-point attempts, the Wolves would have won. Imagine if Naz had hit one of his threes AND one of his twos. Then imagine if Conley had hit just one of his three shots from behind the arc. That would have given the Wolves a 6 point win. Conley had an off game, but all we needed to win tonight was bad shooting from our 6th man Naz. Instead, Naz Reid’s shooting was worse than bad. Having only one high-end shooter/scorer off the bench just isn’t enough for a team with championship aspirations. Naz didn’t have it tonight as a shooter although he did well on the boards. The problem is that we don’t have anyone else to step up when Naz has a night like this. We need a Jamal Crawford type guard or wing off the bench. We don’t have anyone close to that on this team. Therefore, we’ll continue to be vulnerable to losses like this one.

Enter TJ Warren...Lipoli390 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2024 10:07 pm But think of it this way. Yeah, we could have used a couple of those threes to go through the net. But what really beat us were the three desperation 3-pointers the Clippers hit...two by Norman (Malik Monk) Powell, and one by PG 13. Without those, we win by 8!Lipoli390 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2024 10:07 pm But think of it this way. Painful loss, but one that I enjoyed watching. I love tough defense, and these two team showed why they are near the top of the very talented West. Both teams really got after it on the defensive end, and nothing came easy...below 40% shooting for both teams. Our size gave us a 54-40 rebounding advantage which should have been enough to win. But none of our stars showed up offensively, and for the second straight game a 6th man came off the bench to destroy us. This one is going to hurt when we look back at games that we're there for us to win.

Is there anything more "Ant" than him driving to the basket for a 2 when we're down 3 with less than 5 seconds to go? Truly dumb. And who was the Wolves player who did that a few years ago...drove the length of the court for a layup when we were down three in the closing seconds?

Somehow, Taurean Prince rings a bell…FNG wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2024 8:30 am Is there anything more "Ant" than him driving to the basket for a 2 when we're down 3 with less than 5 seconds to go?
