Is that right?
Wolves/Warriors GDT

Ant making skip passes is huge for his growth. This team just wills itself to another victory.

Great game, I'm feeling more confident lately even without KAT

Relief. Great to feel that way after playing the Warriors.

Very nice win. I don’t think Ant played well but he made the right plays down the stretch and his teammates rewarded the smart plays. Rockets are on the heels of the Warriors
Re: Wolves/Warriors GDT
Great Day. Wolves win, Thunder and Clippers lose. Wolves in a great spot to not fall below 3rd.
Re: Wolves/Warriors GDT
Naz is poor man's KAT from 3 years ago. Elite shot making, porous defense, for a fraction of the price.

I'm going to take these guys to 60 Wins Tim!

Re: Wolves/Warriors GDT
I have to agree that this was a great win. I really didn't feel good about this one until the very end. There's no margin for error if we want to challenge for the #2 spot (or dare I say #1?), so we needed this one. All that said, I don't know that there has been a game all year where my emotions about specific players swung so much. Dammit Ant (or Naz, or Mike, or Rudy...keep going), way to go, Ant (et al)! A few thoughts:
- the Wolves' tendency to come out sloppy with turnovers is alarming. We had something like 10 turnovers in the first 10 minutes. The silver lining is we seem to consistently turn things around and protect the ball really well after the first quarter. We need to be better at the start of games though.
-love him or hate him (and he's so easy to hate), Draymond Green is really really good. Always makes the right play on offense, and nobody in the Association blows up a pick and roll like he does. I understand this is Steph's team, but it's easy to make the argument Draymond is the straw that stirs the drink.
-yet another growth game for Ant...2 in a row. Well, at least on offense. I agree with the post in the GDT that he was unfocused on defense at times. But I'll take a 23-8-6 with only 2 turnovers aways over a sloppy 35 point game. He still has a long way to go, but we're watching him develop with his decision making when he gets doubled...his growth in the past couple weeks has been fun to watch.
-this game couldn't define who Naz Reid is any more. Spectacular shooting early, but overall a poor game. The good: 20 points on only 11 shots and 12 boards. The bad: sloppy defense, no assists and 6 turnovers. The result: we get outscored by 6 points while he's on the court.
--in contrast there's SloMo. 3 for 9 shooting, and a free throw shooting style that forces you to look away. And yet he has 5 assists and no turnovers. And his defense was spectacular...always in the right place, and a Gary Payton II clone (wouldn't you love to have him on our bench?) in poking the ball away. Terrific game for Kyle.
-and to put a bow around my last two points, excellent use of these two guys by Finchie. We didn't see Naz when the game was on the line, and that was the right call.
-finally, nice to see the players praising the genius of Micah Nori post-game. Apparently he drew up exactly the play in the huddle that GS was going to run at the end of the game, and that (plus Jaden not letting Curry get open) allowed us to avoid overtime.
