I knew I should have changed my name to 50 Win Jim when we came across to this forum.

I was only looking at the scores online and didn't see the game. Did Ant sit the entire last quarter? Anything happen, or just getting some rest?

Rest

Trap game avoided.

50 wins. Wow.

Friday is critical on so many levels. Hope Ant is ready.

Exactly how I feel this morning. I mean...of course I wish we could have just buried them early with a dominant game to show everyone we are the best team in the NBA. But at the end of the day, an ugly win counts the same as a pretty win. I am starting to worry about Edwards though. Teams are clamping down on him and I'm concerned if we have enough firepower to stay with really good teams. Guess we'll get another good test soon at Denver.

Yeah, he's seeing a lot of bodies...kind of like what he saw at Georgia. The difference is he has really progressed as a facilitator...Greg Kelser raved about his court vision last night. Evidence of his trajectory? He only averaged 2.8 APG in college...he's averaging nearly 7 per game the past 5 games. And he's still improving. I think his assists are limited by the fact that often his passes are careless and don't leave the guy in a position to get off an easy shot (in contrast to guys like JMac and Conley who put the ball in exactly the right place at exactly the right time). When he improves his passing, he will easily become a double digit assist guy.

So I was really curious how much the loss of Towns was effecting Edwards. Here's what I found in game logs:

Before Towns went down, Edwards averaged: 19.4 Shots, 26.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.1 assists.
In games after Towns went down, Edwards: 21.7 Shots, 25.4 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.6 assists.

Turns out he's doing fine. A little less efficient in scoring, but picking more rebounds and uptick in assists. No issues.

The guy who's game has really taken off though is McDaniels.

Before Towns went down, he averaged: 8.4 shots, 10.5 points and 2.8 rebounds.
In games after Towns went down he's: 11.0 shots, 12.0 points and 5.0 rebounds.

Really great to see both those guys hitting the boards. Oh, and Naz is 19.6 points, 7.1 rebounds since Towns went down. They all picked up a little bit.
