I'm feeling argumentative this morning, Thread Creator God, so I'm going to reply to everyone who argues against an A.Carlos Danger wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2024 9:52 amWell...Naz shot 2 for 12. I wouldn't give that an A. But I understand the direction you are going. Great TEAM effort.
Naz had his best defensive game ever...befuddled Jokic in the first half when we essentially put them away. And he led the starters with a +14 compared to Jokic's -9. Anybody who badly outplays the Joker deserves an A. So there.

We need Kek back on the job here!
I definitely wouldn't give Ant an A. May be he gets a B or B+. He got bailed out a few times defensively. We all remember the homeruns from him, like when he locked up KCP and forced a turnover along the baseline, which isn't really that great of a feat when you think about how KCP makes his living (it isn't iso ball off the dribble, that's for sure!). But he just gets caught napping too much off the ball. Also, sorry, if you go 0-8 from 3 as the team's emerging superstar, that by itself knocks him down a notch. And finally, he just plain looked gassed at times. I'm starting to buy into the idea that he is not in peak physical condition and he probably still has some crappy eating habits.
I'll give FNG a pass on the Naz grade since we tend to hold him to a lower standard than Ant. I've been impressed of late, as it appears he is playing some stronger defense in the paint than we're used to.

Re: FNG's pithy Nuggets game grades
He may not have a perfect diet, but at least his body is pretty impressive this year which tells me he's eating a lot better or taking whatever drugs that Lebron takes.. It's true Ant is young and has young legs, it's not easy for a player of any age to have to exert as much energy as he does on both defense and offense at times. Ever since Kat got hurt, Ant is getting doubled and trippled teamed when he drives to the hoop, and Ant is having to exert energy the minute he touches the ball 35 feet from the hoop and teams try to get the ball out of his hands. He's not perfect, and still has things to clean up on defense and in his passing which means he doesn't necessarily deserve an A, but when you whoop the best team in the West you deserve the benefit of the doubt and get an A. Naz gets an A on defense, but on normal circumstances would get a D on offense here, but again we beat the best team in the West, Naz gets an A.Q-is-here wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2024 10:59 am We need Kek back on the job here!

Wrong again, Q. Ant was matched up with Denver's best wing defender all night, and still was our high scorer with 25 points...all while denying KCP the ball all night and limiting him to (checks box score) ZERO points in 28 minutes. He also continued his growth in passing out of double teams with 5 assists and only 2 turnovers. And 3 steals and more rebounds than our 6-10 forward. And a +11. If you can outscore your opponent 25 to nuthin, you've had a really good game...if everyone had done that, we would have won 125-0 and set an NBA record!

Hahahaha, I know I know. You would be so shocked though how big cornhole is getting. 90 people last night. I’m the Luka Garza of bags I well dominate the G League (at a cabin) but when get up to the big leagues (in competitive settings) I have my moments but I don’t really belong.
