Wolves/Suns GDT

Post by FNG »

I'm 2-0 since taking over the thread-starting duties from Carlos, so let's get this one going early. The Wolves currently sit in first place in the West, but with 3 road games remaining against West playoff teams, my forecast still has them finishing two games behind OkC and Denver. The upcoming Denver game is our biggest remaining contest, but we can also erase that 2-game deficit with 2 straight Anti-Klunkers in the Valley of the Sun tonight and Lala Land Sunday.

So this is a big one tonight. So big in fact that my gal and I will be making the hour and half trip up soul-sapping I-10 to attend this one in person...couldn't be more excited!

The Wolves come into the game healthy except for KAT, but the Suns have a couple question marks. Nurkic is nursing a sore left calf and is questionable. But more importantly, Grayson Allen missed the last game with a hip injury, and may not be 100% if he plays. Allen might have the most punchable face in the Association, but he is a real threat on offense with defenses concentrating on stopping the Big Three...he gets a lot of open looks and is making 47% of his 3-pointers on almost 6 attempts per game. Nurkic (if he plays) is not a 3-point threat, so Rudy will be able to lurk around in the paint. But the other four starters are all dangerous shooters (as are Gordon and O'Neal), and are going to be a big challenge for our league-leading defense.

I'm going to refrain from making any predictions, but this will be a nice statement game if we can pull it out.

I debated going to tonight's game. (I am moving out of Arizona soon) Instead I am getting my house ready for sale. I will be in on a possible first round game 3 and 4 should they draw Phoenix though.

Wow, I always thought folks moved TO Arizona and not FROM Arizona. I believe you have been there for a while. Good luck with your home sale and move!

You are making a run at my 4-1 record FNG. This will be a tough road game...and I'll probably be in bed before tip-off. Always fun to read through this thread after I know the outcome the next morning though! Should be a good match up. Just stay healthy.

Thanks. Part of the reason for moving out is the amount of people moving in. It has caused a great increase in home values, though, which is nice. I'm moving to SW Michigan and am looking forward to being close proximity to more NBA cities.

Phenom, we're not looking forward to the drive up from Tucson...traffic on the 10 and when we get to Phoenix is going to be horrendous. I agree...too many people in Phoenix and Scottsdale. We're fine still down in Tucson, but I worry that someday we'll be another Phoenix.

Oh well...go Wolves! I see the line has crept up a point to Suns - 4 1/2. May mean that all the Suns who were GTD's are playing. We'll try to bring home a win!

Nice part of the country and definitely different from Arizona! Yeah, you are close to a lot of the Central Division teams in the East.

Yeah the 10 is a bear to drive. Enjoy the game and bring home the W!
