In my mind ideally on defense you have neither KAT or NAZ on defense. You go Rudy, Jaden, Ant, NAW, Conley. NAW, Ant and Jaden on their big 3. Allen is weaker on the drive. Conley can matchup well.

If you do have KAT or Naz in the lineup which you do want, Allen/Gordon is probably the easiest matchup. Maybe more NAW point even could also be good on D. Naw on Beal. Ant on Booker. Jaden on KD. KAT and Naz can hold down the weaker SG.

I see what you mean but he, and the team, might not have a choice. Guarding KD is a whole different animal than guarding Jokic, but it is still a big challenge and he has done well enough.
I'm more worried about Towns picking up offensive fouls while being guarded by Durant... or even Allen, O'Neal or Booker.

Chalk up two per game. Are they justified? If you squint hard enough... maybe/probably. If you compare them with how other All Stars are officiated... no.

And Towns will be at risk to get offensive fouls regardless of who he guards on the other end. We saw that yesterday.

It's unfortunate KAT never developed a conventional turnaround jumper. It's so much less likely to create an offensive foul situation than trying to get himself in position for a jump hook, which requires him to jockey for position since that requires you to be closer to the basket. He 100% has the natural shooting touch to have made the turnaround a go-to move, but he rarely uses it.

Didn't he use a Nowitzki type fadeaway for a spell a couple years back?

Maybe I'm making that up. LOL.

He does. I think we all are tired of the bulldozer style drive, flop on the floor and whine for a call. He should take that midrange a bit more. Keep defenses guessing. KAT is one guy I don't mind seeing a midrange from.

When seeing 2-3 guys at the rim, simply stop, pull up and shoot or even better, pass to the open guy in the corner. He's been a bit too one dimensional on the drive I think. Trying to force something that isn't really there. Same for Ant too really. Ant at times makes some more spectacular plays 1 on 3. But I think maybe the easier shot or pass might be just more effective. Some more assists from both could really unlock this offense to the next level.

Make the easy pass. Towns' home run passes are nice when they connect. But some of them just shouldn't be attempted.

[Note: And this comes from a guy who LOVES an unnecessary fancy assist more than anybody.]

I'd rather see Kyle on the floor with KAT and Naz with Gobert.

Kyle and KAT can hi-lo and are somewhat more switchable on defense.
