Suns at Wolves R1G1

Post by 60WinTim »

Okay! I am back from my European cruise and ready for some playoff basketball.

I haven't had a chance to watch the last game against the Suns. I don't know if I want to. But I see a huge problem was turnovers. Was the Suns' defense that aggressive? Or were we just that careless?

Anyway, let's get this one!

A lot of both Tim. The Suns D was impressive relative to expectations. And then we played dumb AF.

Early game turnovers have been a big problem for the Wolves, so they really need to protect the ball. But turnovers have been even a bigger problem for the Suns this season, perhaps because they don't have a true PG in the starting lineup. Only the hapless Jazz and Pistons were worse than the Suns in turnover differential (the Wolves in contrast are middle of the pack). My two main keys to the game:

1) Protect the ball on offense, and force turnovers with an aggressive defense.

2) Ant needs to make the right decisions when double and triple teamed.

If we do these two things, we can win this game.

Probably doesn't mean much, but the line has moved today from Wolves - 1 1/2 to - 2 1 /2. What do the wise guys know...maybe a little virus for Durant?

I'm liking KAT on KD. Ant, Jaden and NAW can make it really hard on Book and Beal.

Doesn’t look like KD is suffering from a virus…. ;)

A couple questionable decisions, KD is cooking, tough not to get that call on Mike's shot, but we're not getting blown out!

Need to figure out a way to stop KD.

They're letting 'em play. I like it as long as it goes both ways. Need to play strong.
