Terrific news! Perhaps we overrate Norman Powell and Malik Monk here because of how well they play against us, but I do think Naz deserved this. He is the epitome of a 6th man...someone who can get you buckets in a hurry, but not necessarily be a defensive force.

I also like the timing of this. Naz seemed a little off last night with his shot both during the game and in the pre-game warmup. Perhaps this will restore his confidence and lead to a big night Friday.

Congrats to Naz! He's part of the group of pups I followed from their summer league/g-league days and included Jordan McLaughlin, Jaylen Nowell and eventually Jared Vanderbilt. Three out of four of those guys are massive success stories based on where they started in the NBA, but Naz more than any of them.
