Wolves at Suns R1G3

Post by 60WinTim »

2-0 baby! Here we go again!

It is desperation time for the Suns. If they can't get it done tonight, it's hard to imagine they can come back in this series. I expect them to come out firing, and if they start hitting shots, it could be a tough night.

But once again, if the Wolves continue to keep their turnovers from ballooning, they'll give themselves a chance. Add some offensive production from somewhere, they'll have a good chance of going up 3-0. The first game saw ANT, NAZ and NAW step up (KAT was there, too). The second game was Conley and McDaniels, with some pretty balance scoring from the starters. If the bench can join in the scoring tonight along with average games from ANT and KAT, it could be a fun night.

Go Wolves!

That's right 60WinTim - you better be starting the GDTs! Glad you jumped on it before someone messes up our mojo.

Pedal to the metal tonight. Do not take our foot off their neck. Or whatever similar phases are out there. I want this thing over sooner vs. later.

Refs will give the Suns some home cooking, almost always happens in 2-0 series where the team down is hosting. We need to thoroughly outplay them like we have been to offset it.

The recipe is the same, stay close for 2 and a half quarters, wear them down and blitz them in the 4th.

Time to put an end to the Suns experiment, if it’s a sweep I can see them blowing it up because they literally have no way to change their roster without big trades.

I have my doubts that we can sweep a team with the caliber of shooters they have. A couple of them are going to get hot at the same time at some point, right?

I do agree that if we can withstand whatever initial onslaught they have and keep it within 10 at the half, we have a good chance to win. We just can't have a tsunami of turnovers and Phoenix transition buckets.

Finch seems to have a shorter leash with calling timeouts against the suns, which has worked well. Use them early to keep it close through The first half and beginning of the third and we won’t need them later since we’ll get the separation after grinding them down. There was a sequence in the last game, I think it was the third quarter, where there was a stoppage /floor timeout and suns came down, hit a 3 after some good offense and finch immediately called timeout to kill any momentum even though there was a recent stoppage.

So what happens here do they delay the start of our game until the Clippers Mavericks game is over?

Looks like they are projecting a 9:51 CDT start.
