Come on Lakers quit melting down and win this
And they did, forcing a game 5 in Denver.
And I've turned 180 degrees on Russell after his shameful behavior on the bench two nights ago...Ham should have benched his ass tonight. But of course is there anything more DLovian than scoring 21 points in a meaningless game after laying an egg in a critical game.
(And yes, Game 4 is meaningless when you're 0-3...no team has ever come back from 0-3 to win. The Suns may beat the Wolves tomorrow. but that will be meaningless also)
I’m about to put you in a mental pretzel here FNG. Dlo for the series is a +15. The only lakers starter who is not negative. He has been the Lakers top +\- player in 2 of the 4 games and top 2 in 3 of the 4.
So with that said I want you to admit Dlo has been a winning player this series or I want you to admit single game +\- is a terrible stat. ADMIT IT FNG ADMIT IT!!!!!!! Haha
Ha, you can't do that to me before I've had my coffee, Kek!
I'm just a little ornery because I feel like I drank the DLo Kool Aid and fell for the whole "DLo has grown up and is now a winning player" narrative. I'm embarrassed that I went there, and will never support this loser again. His disgusting bench pouting in Game 3 showed us once again who Russell really is...a talented tease who will sometimes put up great numbers, but will always let you down when it matters. I'm done with him, and will never do anything but rip him again. (although I will always be grateful to him for leaving and bringing us two actual winners in Conley and NAW...hos departure could bring us a championship).
To take a shot at your question, I'll continue to support +/- as a meaningful stat. Personally when I was playing, I always evaluated my own performance by whether I outscored my opponent when I was on the court. And while it is less meaningful in a small sample size, I do note that Ant seems to always know his teammates' +/- for the night in many post game pressers, so it must mean something to him. But DLo is a unique player, and I would argue you can throw out all stats when it comes to evaluating him. This is what Cam never understood. He would cite stat after stat to support his assertion that his favorite player was the second coming of Michael Jordan, while ignoring the irrefutable fact that the guy has always been and will always be a loser who destroys the fortunes of any team he is on.
I feel better now...
