Pups vs Nuggets G4 GDT

Post by kekgeek »

Hey. Just find a way.

Wolves are 10-0 following a double digit loss this year. Wolves are 3-1 in Scott Foster refed games.

Let’s get it

The game of the year for the Wolves and the NBA. Win and we're in very good position to win the series, lose and we are not. Not only would they have homecourt back, but momentum too. I'd like to think we could win this one.

Thanks Kek! And some interesting factoids you threw out there.

One other thing...we are still in this series if we lose, not so much for Denver if they lose.

Great point. In about 8 hours we'll either be 3-1 and feeling quite confident about winning one of the final three, or 2-2 and in a dogfight that will probably go 7. I prefer our position.

I have no idea how this one will go, but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Rudy bounce back with an 18-16 game and Ant have a 40-pointer...if we get both of those, we win this game.

On the offensive side of the ball, I want to see KAT and Ant taking advantage of Denver's soft interior defense. And I want us to make our open three-pointers. We did neither of these in Game 3. Also, even though Denver is a good rebounding team, we had the second best differential behind Boston this year. We can't afford to get humiliated on the boards again tonight...we have little chance of winning if Mike Conley is our leading rebounder again (unless he gets 15 8-) )

On the defensive side of the ball, I want to see more of the frenetic disruption we saw in Game 2 that didn't allow Denver to get into their offense. The Nuggets counteracted that by having Jokic escort Murray up the court. I'm interested to see what Finchie/Nori have cooked up to defeat that. I have no clue, but that's why they're coaching and I'm watching.

I don't know if I agree with Cool that this is the most important game in Wolves history...Game 7 in 2004 to get to the finals has to have that honor. But this one feels really big to me. I think this team has a better chance of winning a chip than the 2004 club did, but we have to take care of business tonight. Vegas has us 2 1/2 point favorites, but the smart money is moving toward the Nuggets as the line has dropped a point in the past hour. This was the series NBA fans were most excited about, but so far it has been a dud in terms of drama. I think that ends tonight, as I'm expecting a close one...I have my defibrillator charged up and ready to go!

Let's effing go, Wolves!!!!!!

I like what Souhan wrote in his game preview: "We need to make Murray feel like he's running through an obstacle course, not strolling down a lane". LOL!

Offensively we need Ant and Kat to always bring it, and we need at least one of NAW, Jaden, or Naz to have a great game as well. If one of Ant or Kat is off we need two of NAW, Jaden, Naz, or Conley to have big games. I would love to see a big game from all the above at least once in the playoffs.

I have a nervous stomach. I want this one so badly I can't even verbalize it properly. To me it's all about the intensity we bring to executing the gameplan. I'm sure Finchie will have them prepared, and I think we have the guts and character to pull it off. The Nuggets didn't have to earn anything in game 3. They met little resistance and a general malaise that I still don't quite understand. I think Ant is going to play much harder but I'm not sure he will have the shooting stroke. He needs to shoot a lot of free throws tonight. I suspect KAT will continue to play well, just hope he makes the smart play. We really need Jaden to get 12-15 points, and for NAZ to get 15-20.

It's a tall challenge for us, no question about it. I still think the winner of this game wins the NBA championship, that's why I think it's the biggest game in our history. Now about my stomach, can anyone offer some wisdom to help soothe it?

Ha, can’t help you there, Cool…my stomach is on knots too. But I also have a little optimism too…a little. We got our butts kicked Friday, but most nba pundits would say we have been the better team this series overall. But we’re all sort of prisoners of the moment though.

I’m listening right now to the podcast Dane Moore did last night. Worthwhile. I’m really enjoying Britt robsons comments.
