Gupta has left the wolves for Chelsea FC. Interesting move. Unfortunate move for the wolves

That is too bad I feel like Gupta was an asset in the front office for the Wolves. I figured at some point he might leave if he wanted to be the main guy but this kinda comes as something I didn't see coming but not completely shocking either. Maybe a different challenge was really appealing to him. Based on the article in the Athletic it sounds like he really built up the analytics dept for the Wolves so maybe he is leaving things in good hands. It also helps that Connelly is a legit lead NBA executive.

Matt Llyod would likely be the fallback option now if Connelly left. The thing is he might be someone teams look at for the top basketball executive so it's no guarantee he would still be here.
