Detroit 1st round pick
With the Eastern conference being even worse (didn't think that was possible), and the Pistons not being a train wreck, we might actually get their pick this year! I'm trying to figure out the exact protection to see what slot we would want them to be to maximize the highest draft position, but I can't seem to pin it down.

It’s top 12 next year

I think your numbers could be misinterpreted (if not all out wrong). It's top 13 protected this year, meaning a 14th finish means the pick conveys. The same off-by-one is true for the remaining 2 years.kekgeek wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 6:28 pmIt’s top 14 this yearBloopOracle wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 5:55 pm With the Eastern conference being even worse (didn't think that was possible), and the Pistons not being a train wreck, we might actually get their pick this year! Whew.
So you're saying they can regroup after the failed Dillingham pick?
too soon?

You might be right. I went based off my memory. Hahaha60WinTim wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 7:40 pmI think your numbers could be misinterpreted (if not all out wrong). Re: Detroit 1st round pick
Yes, Detroit’s 1st round pick looks surprisingly within reach this next draft. But more likely, it looks like we have a good shot at getting that pick in 2026 or 2027. Until now, I’ve been assuming we’d end up with Detroit’s 2027 2nd round pick, but the Piston’s young talent seems to be showing signs of blossoming.
On the more immediate horizon, the Wolves have the Jazz 2025 2nd round pick. It’s looking like that will likely be a top 5 pick in the 2nd round.
I think the Wolves end up with some more picks because I see them trading Jaden either by the Feb deadline this season or next summer.

Re: Detroit 1st round pick
Yes, go Pistons! Right now we would get their 15th pick. And I'm sure all of you have been poring over the mock drafts and agree with me that we are going to end up with 7'3" Aussie center Rocco Zikarski. Our backup center problems will be ovah!
AmIrite???
AmIrite???
Re: Detroit 1st round pick
I can't find Mr. Amirite in those mock drafts anywhere?!?
