Thanks for the grades Kek!

I'd upgrade Conley to a B. I know he didn't put up a lot of stats, but things just operated better when he was out there. He also got a key a steal on Booker (the poke away from behind) and drew a couple of offensive fouls.

The C for Jaden is almost generous. He has lost his way on the defensive side and a lot of it is just bad decisions. The thing I always harp on him is going over screens that are set really high, meaning the guy he's guarding is no threat to pull up from 33 feet out if he goes under. He does this at least once or twice a game and then ends up trailing the play with Rudy having to guard the ball handler and roller. And then there are the unnecessary fouls which are often mini temper tantrums. Ultimately we had to put two on the ball against Booker because we couldn't do anything to contain him, including Jaden. We had the same problem with Fox the other night.

This was one night where Randle was way better than Naz. And it wasn't just the game winner. He was able to go to work one on one and make the Suns pay for focusing so much on Ant.

Conley is so good at swatting the ball away from behind.

Sorry to hear Jaden struggled on defense again. Last year I ranked him slightly ahead of NAW on defense, but this year I have NAW way ahead of him.

Who do we blame for Booker's 44...group effort?

I would assign blame for Booker's 44 to three people:

1. Booker himself, as he made some incredibly tough shots that were well defended.

2. Jaden for making some poor decisions guarding Booker in terms of navigating screens and committing bad fouls.

3. Finch and the coaching staff for not blitzing Booker sooner and getting him off the ball. They have put too much faith in our perimeter defenders to take guys like Book or Fox and contain them one on one.

Hat tip to DDV for literally shooting us back into the game in the first half.

Yeah, this was a "KAT" win tonight, as in the two guys we got for KAT came up HUGE to produce the win.

In the pre-game presser for Finch, he mentioned the upcoming 3 day break as an opportunity to work on their defensive schemes. The term for the Wolves defense lately was "leaky"...
