Wasn't he partially guaranteed? Probably just waiving him before he got the full contract. Could be a precursor to a trade where we get two players back. Could be we're going to leave the spot open maybe sign a 10 day contract player or two down the road. We could also bump Clark up to a regular contract before the end of the season.

We knew this one was coming as strictly a money saving move. Retaining PJ beyond January 7th would cost the Wolves about 5 mil in additional luxury tax. A no-brainer move, regardless of what future transactions they Wolves might have in mind.
