Looking at those numbers, there is a case to be made to trade Jaden. I put on my mad scientist hat for this one.

Spotrac approves the following trade:

Golden State trades: Kuminga, SloMo, Wiggins, and Schroeder for Jimmy, Josh Richardson and Jordan McLaughlin.

Miami trades: Jimmy, Josh Richardson and KLove for Kuminga, Wiggins, Schroeder and Trey Lyles.

Minnesota trades: Jaden for Monk and KLove

Sacramento trades: Lyles, McLaughlin, and Monk for Jaden and SloMo.

Rudy/Love
Julius/Naz
NAW/Minott
Ant/DDV
Conley/Monk

This would help spacing and provide Conley insurance if he shrivels into nothing.

Creative proposal here Phenom. With the way DDV is playing, I'm not sure Monk provides as much value to us now. I do see the benefit for Sacramento in adding a wing defender like Jaden. They don't really have anyone like that.

What makes it worse is that's 8.5 possessions between them a game. Yikes

My main take-aways from your 12 best combos (best 5, best 4, best 3, best 2):

1. Rudy and Randle do NOT appear in ANY of those 12 best combos
2. Naz appears in all but one of those 12 best combos, including all three of the best 5-man combos
3. Jaden does NOT appear in ANY of those 12 best combos
4. NAW appears in all but 1 of the 12 best combos with the least important (i.e., 2-man combo) the one exception.

These stats bear out my thinking that the key guys to move forward with after this season are Ant, Naz, NAW, and either Rudy or Randle (not both). I’d opt for Rudy over Randle. I still like DDV in spite of his inconsistent shooting. I like the way he plays and his team-friendly contract. I like our young guys, Minott, Dilly and TSJ. But as I’ve noted before, I’m ready to move onto Wolves 2.0. I just wish we had traded Jaden before this season, although I never would have advocated for it.

40-game update below:

Player - PER/WS48/VORP/Net Rating
Ant - 18.2/.107/1.7/+2.6
Rudy - 15.6/.168/0.7/+2.0
Randle - 17.4/.129/0.9/+2.7
Jaden - 11.2/.091/0.3/-.8
DDV - 12.8/.091/0.7/+1.3
Naz - 15.7/.124/0.8/+2.9
NAW - 12.1/.102/0.4//+7.1
Conley - 12.4/.115/0.2/+1.6
Minott - 15.1/.144/0.2/-1.3

PER - Very much individual box-score driven and rewards volume more than efficiency. Doesn't really account for defense. This tends to reward higher usage offensive players and guys that get lots of counting stats.
WS/48 - Combines individual box-score stats with team performance; tends to reward efficiency as much as volume; tries to apportion team performance to individual players, so a great team defense for example tends to lift all boats (or weight them down if the defense is poor).
VORP - Value over Replacement Player. This extrapolates from box score stats and takes into account actual minutes played, so it helps recognize that starters have to carry a bigger load.
Net Rating - Team points per 100 possessions minus opponent points per 100 possessions while player is on the floor, per NBA.com.

40-game thoughts:

- Not much has changed in the past 10 games, but I will highlight three things: 1) DDV has improved, 2) Jaden has improved; and 3) Minott and NAW have regressed.

- There is no one obviously bad in the rotation. Literally everyone brings a mix of strengths and weaknesses to the table with things netting out for most guys as a plus. Thus we are slightly over .500 as a team.

- On the other hand, there is no obvious star on the team. We can blame poor spacing for Ant's non-dominant stats (which I believe is partially true), but the reality is any real superstar would overcome that in other ways. He's not there yet.

- Rudy is slowing down. Obviously it would be nice if Randle and Ant trusted him more, as there are times he's obviously open and they just look him off, but it's not just that. He is starting the decline of a 30-something year old NBA player.

- The bloom has come off a bit of NAW and definitely Minott. NAW has shown us enough in a couple seasons to suggest this is just a typical valley and he'll eventually get back on track. Minott is TBD.

Small sample size of course, but a hopeful foreshadowing of the future below....

Player pair of Ant/Dillingham have 81 minutes on the floor together in 12 games this year. Otg = 121.4 and Dtg - 105.2 for a Net Rating of +16.2.

Keep in mind that Dillingham has a negative net rating in player pairs with every other guy in the 8-man rotation except Ant, making the numbers above even more notable.
