I dont care if he can't keep it in his pants. He was paid to put together a team and he did well. Connelly literally burned this team to the ground quickly and we have literally nothing to show for his terrible deals.
I'd say a Western Conference Finals appearance and being legit contenders for the first time in 20 years and only the second time in franchise history is a pretty damn big accomplishment. How soon we forget!

Also, it's not like the cupboard of talent is totally empty. It's just that we've been so incredibly healthy and Finch so tight with his rotations that we haven't had much of a chance to see any of the young guys except Minott. But between Josh, Dillingham, Miller, Shannnon, and Clark, there is some real potential on the back half of the roster.

The guys that led the team, Ant, KAT, Jaden and Naz were already on the roster when Kahnelly took over and whose to say they wouldn't have gone as far or further without Kahnelly. And there is no banner for winning two playoff series. SO, I still say FU to Tim Kahnelly, he sucks.

Good thing we aren't paying Kahnelly much. No worries, if we miss playoffs we will have a good draft pick in a loaded draft. Oops, scratch that.
Losing to Pistons will help the Wolves get a pick this year. This is some serious chess the team is playing right now.

Ha, Wolves better pray Pistons make playoffs. Wolves only have one of their own first round picks left.

I'd argue that him picking Jokic and then trading a redundant (and more senior) Nurkic to make way for him a season later was a brilliant move. He obviously saw something in Jokic before he became the juggernaut he is today.

Then he picked Jamal Murray at #7 a couple years later. Reminder: The Wolves picked Kris Dunn #5 that year.

Then he made a super smart trade to bring Aaron Gordon into the fold and soon after that drafted Michael Porter Jr. at #14.

He methodically found the right pieces to surround Jokic with and they won a title. No one player is good enough to win a title on their own these days. They need the right pieces around them and Connelly did exactly that with Denver.

Let's not forget he was able to find a taker for DLO and brought Conley, Nickeil, and multiple 2nds back.

Kahnelly even admitted it was dumbluck to get Jokic. And Denver beat two 8 seeds, one 7th seed and a fourth seed to win a title. Maybe, easiest path ever. Again, dumbluck he got Jokic who took advantage of one of the easiest paths ever. I'm just not seeing the brilliance especially since I've seen all the dumbassery he's exhibited in Minnesota!

One of those 2nds is the Jazz pick this year.

I suppose Connelly lucked into drafting Monte Morris too.
