I think it would have to be broken up into two separate trades..maybe I'm not sure with the rules. Say one trade where Julius gets traded for Collins and the 2nd trade where Jaden gets traded for White.
Hmm. Anyway, assuming again that it’s legal, here are some of my thoughts. In the plus column, it would save the Wolves around $20 million, which would definitely allow what Wolves re-sign Naz and even NAW while still getting under the second apron. And I do think Collins would be a better fit than Randle. But on the negative side, White is a terrible defender and while he’s a decent three-point shooter at 36% he’s not even close to elite. He’s not a playmaker or game manager either. I’ve never been a big fan of his game. While Collins looks good and seems to fit well on paper, I have concerns about him. I always have doubts about players who keep getting moved from one team to the next. And I recall the Hawks were trying to unload him for years in spite of his good stats. Finally, after having some doubts about Jaden earlier this season, he’s put a long enough string of impressive games together to have me back on his bandwagon. He’s such an elite defender and now we’re starting to see his shooting and even his rebounding come around. The thought of going from Jaden to Kobe White leaves me cold. So I say no to the deal.
Agreed I don't think White for Jaden is great value. White does kill us the two times we play him every year, but I don't believe he is much of a defensive player. I know Jim Peterson loves Collins, every time we used to play Atlanta a few years ago Jim would gush over Collins calling him the best modern pf in the game. Collins has had some iffy years lately, and it's always hard to say if someone putting up stats on a bad team is actually what you are going to get. Utah has 5 guys averaging 15 or more we have 2, yet Utah is a bad team. Same thing with Lauri and Sexton, putting up good stats, but are they good players on a winning team?
Spotrac has it as a legal trade but regardless it would be an absolute steal for Utah. John Collins and Jordan Clarkson for Jaden? Wolves would be asking for a couple of their firsts back for sure.

If the Bulls were really interested in Julius I'd rather the Wolves keep Jaden and end up with Vucevic or Sexton from the Jazz.

Taking advantage of the tax apron/ salary slot by singing Okogie for a deal bigger than he would have normally gotten so they could trade him later. They traded Okogie the very day he became trade eligible. The wolves should have done the same with either Morris or Anderson this summer, but I'm guessing Glenn wouldn't allow it. Imagine if we signed Morris to 8 million, we could trade him for an 8 million dollar player now.

Can TC and Finch really want to move forward with Randle with Gobert and Ant?

There's some talk of Durant to the Warriors for one last swan song. A trade can be structured between Miami, Phoenix, Minnesota, Golden State and a 5th team that sends Randle to Miami, Butler to Phoenix and Durant to Golden State. Just have to figure out what the Wolves want back in return...

How about a pulse?

But in all seriousness, getting involved on a superstar trade as a third team will probably be the easiest way to move on from Julius.

I would be OK with trading Randle only at this point. No outgoing picks, getting back players to waive or stick on the end of the "deep" bench or as it should be known, Finch's graveyard.

There is one 4 team scenario that works under the cap if Durant were to force this to happen.

GS trades Wiggins, Payton, Kuminga, Looney and Gui Santos for Durant and Jovic.

Miami trades Butler, Rozier, and Jovic for Wiggins, Payton, Kuminga and Randle.

Minnesota trades Randle for Looney and Rozier.

Phoenix trades Durant for Butler and Santos.

Rozier has one more year around 27 mil and Looney is a free agent.

I tried to get the band back together and bring in Wiggins, Love and Slo Mo to Minnesota but it just didn't work.

I believe Rozier and Loony make combined more than Randle making the trade not possible

Any chance that Sacramento would trade Fox (and Lyles to make money work) for Gobert and picks that we have left?
