Donovan Mitchell was damn near unstoppable. He split defenses that were up, drains 3s when they went under screens, makes the right play most of the time. It felt like he had an answer after every little run the Wolves had.
The back to back didn't help as you could see the Wolves tiring at the end of the third.
Finch is AWFUL at taking time outs to stop runs. Atkinson called 2 perfect tone setting time outs to stop the Wolves crowd from giving the players energy during the 4th.

I think it's the same play... but perhaps the most telling part about that Gobert drive was watching Randle's reaction.FNG wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2025 9:27 pm The Cavs get 2 3's on things I don't like about these Wolves. First, Ant allows them to go 5 on 4 while he whines to the refs about a foul that even homer Jim Pete says wasn't a foul. And then Rudy tries to drive to the basket from the free throw line...never works and resulted in another 5 on 4. The Cavs are great 5 on 5, but 5 on 4 is death.
It was one of slumped shoulders with a head down full of resignation after Gobert's shot harmlessly bounced off the backboard.
