Such terrific news that NAW isn't even listed on the injury report...didn't look good at all when he was helped off the court!

Unfortunately Rob is questionable with an illness. But KD is also questionable. I'll take that trade!

Apparently, Ant disagreed with Finch’s assessment of the way the Wolves played in the third quarter - although he said he “didn’t disagree.” :). For those of you who watched the game you might agree with Finch and be irritated by Ant’s explanation: “We just missed shots.” Overall, I find myself smiling every time I listen to Ant talk. He’s so darn charismatic and likable.
Lip, I don't necessarily disagree with Ant's assessment...we did miss a lot of shots that we would normally make. But you also can't excuse having only 18 assists with 16 turnovers. We need to play better if we expect to beat the Suns tonight.

Yeah, I find myself smiling when I listen to Ant also. One of the most endearing things about him is how he lights up when he talks about how his teammates played. He's a good teammate.
I think both are right to a degree. To me it wasn't as much about poor effort, it was poor focus. People can be working hard physically, but not completely dialed in mentally. Perhaps that's what Finch was really getting at. At the end of the day, the Wolves held an NBA team (albeit banged up) to 92 points, so it wasn't like Atlanta was just waltzing into the lane and getting tons of wide open shots.

What got me pissed was the 3rd quarter sloppiness (i.e. focus). And it was a total team effort!

The Wolves got to 77 points at the 4:47 mark and what follows are the next 10 offensive possessions, which included 5 turnovers (!), four missed shots from the field, and two missed FTAs:

4:47 - Ant makes his "and-one" FTA to get the Wolves to 77 points
4:16 - Jaden misses an open 3
3:56 - Ant misses an open 2
3:34 - Rudy called for offensive foul (turnover)
3:11 - Naz Reid bad pass stolen (turnover)
2:50 - Ant misses wide open 3
2:23 - Randle offensive foul, moving screen (turnover)
2:05 - Dillingham gets fouled, misses both FTAs
1:44 - NAW charge (turnover)
1:13 - Randle misses open mid-range 2
:54 - Randle turnover (stolen by ATL)
:32 - Ant makes a 3-pointer to get the Wolves to 80 points

I mean, that 10-possession stretch of offensive ineptitude was some of the worst I've seen all year - and we've had other bad stretches! Wide open shots missed, bad turnovers, and missed FTAs. That's just not being dialed into the game and being sharp.

The news on NAW is awesome! Must have just been a bruise (er, sorry, I meant "contusion" which sounds so much worse!).

I went large on Ant to get at least 5 assists tonight.
