Twins draft thread-rule 5 edition

Post by Monster »

I'm sure everyone is psyched out of their minds about this one. Who do you have at the top of your draft boards? Should the Twins consider moving the pick? Is anyone going to be at the draft?

I have not slept at all. Looking over all of the options.

It is exciting to know we will be landing the next Josh Hamilton or Johan Santana. The only problem is I have no faith in the Twins way fixing the issues with any of these guys to become stars or even contributors.

You guys are funny...yeah, it's difficult to muster much enthusiasm for this club these days, and their first winter meetings move (signing yet another first baseman who hit .219 last year) is hard to understand. But for some reason, I have confidence in these two young guys the Pohlads brought in to turn this franchise around...I like their pedigrees and the way they talk about the game. Last year was a sorry year for my beloved Twins, but I have a strong feeling that the new brain trust is going to be considerably more successful.

Sounds like @Twins will take Miguel Diaz from @Brewers No. 1, then trade pick to @Padres

This makes sense based on his profile.

I'm thinking maybe the Twins are getting a magician or a sorcerer or a witch back in the trade.

He is young only 17 with a lot of upside. I'm not sure how his racing ability abilities will translate to the baseball diamond. Maybe a great fastball pitcher with a terrific curve that has great control? Our new front office guys are geniuses!!!

What a whacky rule 5 draft. A 3 team deal? I didn't even know you could trade these picks until yesterday!
