Here is the state of things:
- 7th in the Western Conference, 12th best record overall
- 14th in Offensive Rating, 6th in Defensive Rating, 8th in Net Rating (2nd in Net Rating over past 15 games!)
- Our record is worse than the sum of the parts or our Net Rating. We have underachieved, mostly thanks to poor play in clutch situations.
- Randle and DDV both out for at least another couple of weeks
- Ant, Jaden, and Naz all trending up with their play over the past couple weeks.
- NAW trending down.
- Dillingham and Clark have cracked the regular rotation....for now.
Anyone have any thoughts, predictions, or rotation changes in terms of the rest of the regular season?

Play-in... and everything will hinge on one or two games.
If Edwards gets injured for any length of time... this season might go down as one of the more disappointing in Wolves history.
[Note: I think McDaniels' improved play since the New Year is the best thing this team has going... needs to be continued to be anything more than a blip though.]

Re: Where we stand after the Trade Deadline
If Finch is the coach, same as before for playing time and rotations. No change to the offense. Maybe more zone until Randle and DDV come back to let Ant rest on defense and hide Garza if he finds the court again.
I do feel like we don't get DDV back until the playoffs though. Turf toe injuries take forever to heal
I think Ant goes on a tear and starts to really try to carry the team into the playoffs, whether it actually helps will depend on of he still is a willing passer on the drives to the cup.

As for a prediction: Wolves get 6th seed, beat Houston and Memphis, then take OKC to 6 in the WCF.
Re: Where we stand after the Trade Deadline
With the emergence of Clark I think we are going to go small more often with Jaden playing more 4. That limits Garza (or Miller if Finch decides to give him a chance) to just one first half stint as the 9th man with NAW, Dillingham, and Clark playing the bulk of bench minutes.DNatagal wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2025 3:19 pm If Finch is the coach, same as before for playing time and rotations. Re: Where we stand after the Trade Deadline
I think it’s important to note that Randle and DDV were also trending up before their injuries.
Gobert has looked better lately too. That’s our top six players looking good - not the worst thing with the shortened rotations of the playoffs. But we need Randle healthy because we don’t have an option for him.
Re: Where we stand after the Trade Deadline
I agree, and I am optimistic after seeing both Ant and Naz greatly improve their games when KAT went down.
Re: Where we stand after the Trade Deadline
Wolves now 9-5 against the top 6 in the West and 5th in the West in net rating.
Sometimes injuries will improve the team by necessity of players showing what they can do. They should be a better and deeper team when everyone is back.
