Kekgeek grades G52 vs rockets
Re: Kekgeek grades G52 vs rockets
Ant made enough shots and plays to exorcise a bunch of clutch demons. My God, that was about as epic of a regular season takeover as I've ever seen from a single Timberwolves player. That was incredible.
The kids all contributed in a timely way. Dillingham had a rough first stint, but got on a mini-roll in his second stint and manufactured a few buckets, giving Ant some rest.
Shannon did NOT disappoint with a big 3 and thundering dunk in his first stint. Can't wait to see more of him.
And then there is Clark. He did have a handful of games in Iowa where he made 4 or more 3's, but still, this was TOTALLY unexpected. As a die-hard fan watching him grind it out in summer league and then in Iowa, I can't tell you how awesome this is. Love that guy. And we haven't even seen his best defense yet.

I’m wondering why you only gave Naz a B. He had 15 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks and only 2 turnover. And he was a +25. I know his shooting wasn’t a model of efficiency tonight and he was perhaps guilt of some poor shot selection, but his production overall in a winning effort seems worthy of an A-.

Q - I know that Clark’s been your guy from the beginning just as Minott’s been my guy. From this point forward I’m going to say I’ve always been with you on Clark and never really had much hope for Minott.Q-is-here wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2025 9:53 pm Ant made enough shots and plays to exorcise a bunch of clutch demons. Lippy, I've been a Clark guy too. And by the way, I never heard you back Minott before - LOLLipoli390 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2025 10:28 pmQ - I know that Clark’s been your guy from the beginning just as Minott’s been my guy. I wouldn't say he's been my guy from the beginning. I was just excited to watch him finally play this year and it's been gratifying seeing how he's grown having watched him a bunch in the G-League and all of his summer league games.Lipoli390 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2025 10:28 pmQ - I know that Clark’s been your guy from the beginning just as Minott’s been my guy. Unlike some drafted players, he said he was grateful for the G-League and it really helped him. It's paying off more than I expected!
I really don't think he can keep up this shooting, but the form looks solid. I don't think he'll be Josh Okogie 2.0. As I mention above, I'm not sure we've seen him hit his stride yet defensively. It's kind of funny that his shooting and cutting is making the highlight reel!
Re: Kekgeek grades G52 vs rockets
So here is a question: when Randle returns, is NAZ relegated to the bench again?
If the Wolves can earn some tough wins over the next few weeks, there would be every reason to keep NAZ in the starting lineup, especially considering the importance of retaining this offseason. But I don't know if Finch has the cohunes to make such a move. Heck, I'm not sure he'll go back to DDV in the starting lineup when he returns!

LOL. Thanks, Cool. I need all my long-time buddies on this message board and its predecessors to support my slight tweak to the historical record.Coolbreeze44 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2025 10:31 pmLippy, I've been a Clark guy too. I do it before I look at the box score. His shot selection must’ve stuck in my mind. He should be higherLipoli390 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2025 10:26 pm I’m wondering why you only gave Naz a B.
