The Gauntlet: Biker Gang - Thunder at Wolves GDT

Post by 60WinTim »

This Gauntlet thing is not going very well... 1-2 with 5 games left. At least this is the last game before the all-star break and players will have a chance to recharge. Maybe Mike's finger will heal, and maybe we'll get some good news on Donte and Randle. Anyway, maybe the Wolves will surprise us. Clint had the upper hand when he encounter the Biker Gang:
Ben: This bike stays with me. You 3 can take a hike.

Biker: Hey, man! These is our choppers, Charlie!

Ben: This is my gun, Clyde!
There are a few things to come out of our recent stretch of games:
- Randle is sorely missed (as are Donte and Mike)
- The young guys are getting some run (sometimes for better, sometimes for worse)
- NAZ ain't getting 30 mil per year.
- NAW is a goner, as I always thought he would.

Bring on the Thunder!

I'm still debating if I want to watch this one. Last night was such a crushing loss and then to go face what appears to be a nearly flawless Thunder team that hardly ever plays in close games because they just destroy most teams....humble pie doesn't taste so good. Bleh!

If Gobert is out... do the Wolves sit Edwards, too and take the L?

I hope not... I'm going to my 2nd game of the season tonight.

Jaylen Clark getting his first start. An opportunity to keep shooting up the rotational totem pole!

Ok, I'm watching! Gobert's absence actually intrigues me because it allows us to play more of a small ball 5-out style, which I prefer offensively. Defensively....we'll see.

Yeah, the same thought had occurred to me, too. Adds a scrambling defense which might be good...

Jaylen Clark has held his own out there against SGA. We've really got something there!

Man, Shannon is a stud! That was one of the best blockouts I have seen from a Wolves player. And he did a great job tapping a rebound to a teammate earlier. He got called for the offensive foul, but I'll take the aggressivness.

[Edit: and it looks like the refs are taking pity on us!!! ]

Shannon give us something that we are missing with Randle -- a bit of bully ball.

It was nice of OKC to spot us 13 in the 1st quarter. How long can we hold them off???
