I missed the game tonight. I’ll definitely have to watch the recording.

The box score seems to align well with your grades except for Clark. His stats don’t seem on par with a B but maybe he was great defensively, which is often hard to discern from box score stats.

Here are my box score grades:

Naz - A+ (I said long ago that he’s going to command $30M per year in the FA market. We’ll….)
Jaden - A (I took your minus away. Loved his stat line and how he came back strong tonight).
Ant - B (I’m bumping him up to a B+ in spite of his poor shooting. He did other stuff.
NAW - B+
Shannon - A- (This is the guy I’m most excited about on the roster. We win last night if he’s in the past 5 minutes)
Clark - B (Looking forward to your explanation for such a high grade with such poor stats)
Dillingham - A (Looks like he listened to Finch who told him to be more of a PG and less of a scorer. And zero turnovers!)
Garza - A (Nice to see him come back with a more typical Luke performance. Some people were writing him off too soon based on a couple bad games with limited minutes)

It looks like Ant had another bad night shooting but he did what you said he should have done last night - (1) he attacked the basket and got to the line 11 times, (2) he crashed the boards with 8 rebounds, (3) he facilitated for his teammates with 7 assists, and (4) he played aggressive defense with 3 steals. It was also great to see him have only 2 turnovers.

Clark was the primary defender on SGA and really did a great job of not only defending drives, but just plain preventing SGA from driving. Yeah, there were some fouls, but he absolutely deserved that B.

Thanks, Tim. That’s what I suspected. I was going to give him a C as a box score grade, but went with the B after looking at SGA’s stat line and I assumed Clark guarded him. I’m thrilled by what we have in Dilly, Shannon and Clark.

Ant finally dunked on Holmgren! If he would have hit that hero 3 on the next play the building would have come down.

This new Jaden is exactly what we have all hoped for, maybe even more. As we have seen with other highly valued players, making mid range jumpers at a high rate is actually a good thing! If he keeps growing, the 3 will come. He fills the box score every night. And not just with 5 or 6 fouls!

Exactly...Clark was a dog on SGA tonight. Shae was 1 for 11 in the first half when we built that big lead, and Clark was most of the reason...Finchie (who also deserves an A) tried to match them up all night. Also, Clark deserves a high grade for mocking himself on X after his ridiculously bad 3-point airball late in the game. He tweeted "none of yall say me shoot that last shot that ain't me". He obviously has a big following already on X, because there are tons of supporting comments to his tweet.

Yeah, the most impressive part of the night was how few turnovers we had against a team that is best known for creating them.

And you are absolutely right about Dillingham. He actually played the part of a responsible caretaker and game manager, even though that's not his instinct. The scoring will come, but he has to get that assist:TO ratio above 2:1 in my opinion. Defensively, he is working hard out there and does a nice job contesting shots.

All kidding aside, that shot is important for him otherwise teams will continue to ignore him out there. I still worry about both Clark and Shannon as shooters/floor spacers. Dillingham has been cold of late, but I have a ton of confidence that over the long run, he's going to be a knock-down 3-point shooter.

Give it up for TC - The man knows how to draft. Three hits in Dilly, TSJ, and Clark. Clark at #53 by the way.
