Team G League Wins!
Team G League Wins!
Miller was the leading scorer. Couldn't hit a 3, but did a lot of other good stuff.
Re: Team G League Wins!
14pts. 7 rebs, 7-9 in 12 minutes. Not bad
Re: Team G League Wins!
Good for Leonard. He was an active, productive player in the G-League for 17 games this season, but hasn't had his number called in normal game action for the Wolves yet. I know he struggled with defensive concepts and effort last season in Iowa, but I thought he ironed out some of those issues this season.
17 games, 24.7 PPG, 50%/35%/88% shooting, 12 RPG, 3.3 APG, 1.3 BLKS, 3.3 TOs
He can be a little careless with the ball and probably settles for 3-pointers a little too often, but otherwise, he is a very active and versatile big.

It will be interesting to see if Miller gets a legitimate shot at breaking into the rotation next season. I think Minott’s the odd guy out at this point. TSJ and Dilly are the top of the heap among our young guys. Now Clark has put himself in the mix for a possible rotation role next season. Minott looked promising early in the season, but he’s struggled. Miller seems more talented than Minott and he’s done about all you can expect of someone in the G-League. I’m excited to see what he’ll be next fall after another summer working on his game.Q-is-here wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2025 10:30 pm Good for Leonard. I have a confession: Other than a bit of that first game with Miller, I did not watch a single bit of all-star weekend.
I did read that ANT didn't play because of "groin soreness". I'm sure there is a joke in there for Cool! Apparently, ANT said if he had a normal pre-game warmup time that he would have been a go, but the warmup was too short. Kudos to ANT for putting health over meaningless all-star minutes.
On one hand, it's gonna be a tough week with no Wolves basketball until Friday. On the other hand, it's good that our injured/hurting guys have more time to recover.

I haven't watched the all-star festivities for 20+ years, other than some highlights from the LaVine dunk contest. I'm not sure what the answer is to make it more compelling, but right now it almost feels like folks watch it just so they can then say how terrible it is! Perhaps the NBA is getting the last laugh in that case!60WinTim wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2025 12:29 pm I have a confession: Other than a bit of that first game with Miller, I did not watch a single bit of all-star weekend.

I see very good things happening next year for Minott.Lipoli390 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2025 11:49 pmIt will be interesting to see if Miller gets a legitimate shot at breaking into the rotation next season. I can't quite tell what you are implying here... What is good for Minott? Moving to another team? Or do you think he'll find an opportunity with the Wolves?Wolvesfan21 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2025 10:41 pmI see very good things happening next year for Minott.Lipoli390 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2025 11:49 pmIt will be interesting to see if Miller gets a legitimate shot at breaking into the rotation next season. How many "under-25" players can we realistically have on the roster? We have vets we know are going to be here. And we have other "under-25" players who will be here (and seem to be ahead of Minott in the rotation). Plus we might have two new draftees! That does not bode well for Minott's opportunity, let alone room on the roster.
Another observation on Minott is there is only one more year left on his "rookie" deal. So he becomes a RFA after next season. I'm not sure the Wolves want to deal with that situation for a player who could be buried on the bench. I will not be surprised if Minott is moved at the draft, in the offseason or at next season's trade deadline.
I think "good things happening next year for Minott" is being moved to another team where he'll get an opportunity at playing time.
