World Series thread

Post by Monster »

It's hard to believe this is the WS matchup. I mean the Cubs were supposed to get here hit they are the Cubs so... Cleveland I don't remember them being a pick to do anything and even though they made the playoffs I believe their rotation was a question mark which isn't a good thing going into the playoffs. Instead they seem to be a team of destiny getting nice performances from unexpected players and Andrew Miller has been unbelievable and he is in right now.

I think it's going to be a fun series...two cities hungry for some baseball success, great pitching and two managers I like. I've loved Cleveland all year, so I'm happy to see them jump off to a 1-0 lead...the Cubs are a very good team, but the Indians are going to be tough to beat with Kluber going 3 times, Miller in the middle, and home field advantage.

My son called me before the game started and gave me his prediction for the unexpected star of the series. He picked Perez. I said "you're crazy...he hit .170 this year". I'm trying to decide if I want to eat my crow grilled or fried.

I'm watching the WS at least for a while before switching over to the Wolves game.

There goes the no-hitter.

This game could have gotten out of hand earlier it could be a much bigger lead...5-1 on a wild pitch.

I feel like Maddon should be getting Kepler more at-bats.

I don't get bringing in Lester and that was before the 2 runs scored.

Miller hasn't been lights out here which is a bit disappointing for Cleveland.
