Play It Again, Sam - Wolves at Hornets GDT

Post by 60WinTim »

Early start tonight. Gobert is still out and Conley is taking a "rest" day. Hornets are on a 7-game losing streak and the Wolves are coming in with 0 days rest. What could go wrong?

I HOPE Finch uses this opportunity to transition DDV back into the starting lineup. He has played so damn well since returning. And with Conley out, does Dilly get some minutes? Or will Shannon/Clark just get more minutes?

The Warriors beat the Knicks last night at MSG (an anti-klunker), so that's a bummer as far as the standings go (KAT did not play). The KOM has the Rockets in a higher tier than the Pacers, so there loss is a klunker. It looked like the Clippers were going to beat the Suns last night, but they some how managed to lose, so that's a klunker, too.

Code: Select all

Seed	Team Wins	Losses	Klunks	Anti-Ks	Net-Ks
1.	Thunder 68	14	1	0	-1
2.	Grizzlies	57	25	4	0	-4
3.	Lakers 56	26	1	1	0
4.	Rockets 55	27	3	0	-3
5.	Nuggets 55	27	2	0	-2
6.	Wolves 47	35	1	2	1
7.	Warriors	45	37	1	3	2
8.	Mavericks	42	40	2	0	-2
9.	Clippers	41	41	0	0	0
10.	Kings 40	42	1	2	1
11.	Suns 35	47	4	0	-4
The Kings, Mavericks and Clippers are all in action tonight with legit potential for losses.

Will be a challenge for the Wolves tonight. Arrived at the hotel at 4:30am and this will be the 5th game in 7 nights and a back to back. Charlotte is not good, but this is going to require focus and effort to come out with a win. Also missing Conley and Rudy won't help. Don't expect an easy night.

DDV starts in place of Conley. Sure hope we are successful tonight!

The Hornets have lost 7 in a row... and 16 out of 18.

Serious teams in a tight playoff race don't lose these games... regardless of who's playing or not... regardless of whether it's a "scheduled loss" or not.

I don't expect a busy GDT... much like last night. But I will probably be amused as usual. I love it most when players are ripped to shreds in page 2 only to be hailed by page 4...

I get that it's unique to the medium of real-time posting, but it's still amusing to read since I'm showing up well after the game is over and in a totally different frame of mind.

Yup! A bit of a slow start which had me wondering "uh-oh", but pretty solid work from everybody.
