I hope he can keep his personal life in check, because that appears to be the only thing that can hold him back. I guess if Elon can have 14 kids and keep it together, Ant might be able to as well.
By the way, love what Elon is doing for the country, but his procreation accomplishments are a bit ridiculous.

Hopefully Elon and Trump will rid the NBA of the DEI selection criteria for NBA referees! That female referee was terrible tonight.Coolbreeze44 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 05, 2025 9:16 pmLol, at least his offspring should have decent IQ's60WinTim wrote: ↑Wed Mar 05, 2025 9:14 pmHe has been lamenting for years that falling birth rates could lead to the collapse of humanity. I tried to embrace Randle early in the season. But I gave up hope after that loss against Golden State. But I was willing to "try it again" after the trade deadline. Here is quote from Randle to Chris Hine that has me starting to embrace Randle again:
Chris Hine @ChristopherHine 1h
Julius Randle on a talk he Chris Finch about his season in January, and his fit on the team (1/2). "We were just like, man, it’s going to happen when it’s supposed to happen. Sometimes, you can’t really force things. You just gotta live through the bumps and bruises...
Randle (2/2): " .... the trial and error of things, figure it out and let it happen. I just appreciate him keeping confidence in me and I keep confidence in him obviously. Just continue to build on that."

If Randle can help get us out of the play-in, great.
But once the playoffs start, he might as well go home.

Cool breeze being a fan of Elon and calling Ant dumb….makes sense now.

He's only been in the playoffs twice and has played a total of 15 games, so it's not a very big sample size. Of course that in and of itself is kind of damning I guess.WildWolf2813 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 05, 2025 11:10 pm If Randle can help get us out of the play-in, great.

The other thing is that he was the #1 option in the regular season leading up to the playoffs for the Knicks and so I'm presuming defenses put a ton of focus on him.
What's different this year is that he is a distant #2 option to Ant. He hasn't averaged this few PPG and carried this low of a usage rate since he was a 23-year old playing for the Lakers. And I think that's a good thing and one of the reasons he has blended in better since a rough start to the season where he was probably getting more touches than necessary and Ant was just a floor spacer for him.
I think we still have an issue of mis-matched parts offensively with the Julius/Rudy/Jaden trio up front. Finch needs to figure out how to minimize the amount of minutes those three guys are all on the court together. The obvious solution is to bring Randle off the bench, but I'm not sure Finch will do that given how well he's been playing. Bringing Rudy off the bench is another option, but I find it hard to believe Finch would be so bold.
Re: Play It Again, Sam - Wolves at Hornets GDT
While we are still seeing some inadequate post defense with Rudy out, Ju's bulk helps a little. And I love how our offense is clicking now that Donte and Randle are both back...over 122 PPG the past three games. And the eye test is even better. Both Ant and Ju both seem intent on getting their teammates involved instead of just one-on-oneing (15 assists and only 2 TOS last night for them, as the team had a remarkable 27/5!), and Donte beyond the arc, Jaden inside the arc, and Naz everywhere are terrific complementary scorers. I'm not overlooking the lack of defense we have seen in the past three games (Durant was particularly shameful with his lack of effort), but we did what we had to do. The bench was not strong last night overall, but it was encouraging to see TJ, Clark and Rob make 3 out of 4 three-pointers...we are on a roll offensively!
