Yup!! And now on to a 5-game home stand! (Not that that has meant anything this season…)

Abe's "Hardly Late At All" DVR Review:

- Another game where you can feel the energy from this squad. They played with incredible pace in that 1st half. They hit the look-ahead pass every time, with one possession having 5 passes up the court in 6 seconds.

- BIG PLAY: The Wolves are up 20 - 13. Gobert scores at the rim... only to see Jokic take the inbounds and sprint up the court. Gobert chased him down. Great effort. And great control. I had visions of Towns in that moment... but Gobert didn't foul. Instead... it forced a TO. That's a DPOY play.

- The Jokic illegal screen challenge. This was right as I was toggling between DVR and the live feed, so I actually heard both broadcasts discuss it. And amazingly, I learned something from ESPN. Who'da thunk it. David Thorpe(?) was talking about the space stuff right away.

- 8 minutes left in the 3rd. Ball swung to Edwards who staggers dribbles away from two guys right into a skip pass to McDaniels in the corner. Might have been the best pass I can remember from him. Not for its complexity... in fact... just the opposite.

- And then another pass from Edwards. I like this one because it was a feed to Gobert who hustled all night and might have wished he saw the ball more.

- It seemed like the broadcast picked up Finch calling out defensive stuff more than usual. Kinda cool though. And not one mention of ICE ICE!!!

He's playing incredible basketball of late. What a bargain. Not the best at finishing, but pretty much every other aspect of the game he's excelling at - shooting, defense, rebounding, passing.

You can really see how we can match up against a lot of different styles and go toe to toe. I personally think Cleveland is damn-near flawless, but the Wolves have a chance against any Western Conference matchup. May be not favorites, but a solid chance.
Q, that's how I feel also right now. And to prove (to some extent) that it's not just homeristic rose-colored glasses, I can remember how I felt a year ago. I actually liked our chances in the playoffs against OkC if we were to face them, but I was worried about how we might match up against Denver and Phoenix...and we beat them both! But we have to like how we have matched up with most of the elite West teams this season.

Cleveland is a different thing altogether though...
