We have definitely not been getting much standings luck lately lol
Playoffs discussion
Re: Playoffs discussion
The current 6th, 7th and 8th seed in the West are 21-1 in their last 22 games. Crazy
Re: Playoffs discussion
It's gonna be tested these next two days!! Wolves finish their back-to-back tomorrow hosting the Pacers -- not a gimmie! The Warriors begin a back-to-back hosting the Nuggets and Bucks. And the Clippers host the Cavs in 2 days.
On a side note: if the Warriors defeat the Nuggets, the Wolves might have a better chance of catching the Nuggets than they do the Warriors!

Siakam always ruled out and Hali added to the injury report tonight. So game could be easier60WinTim wrote: ↑Sun Mar 16, 2025 11:54 pmIt's gonna be tested these next two days!! That makes this less of a Klunker possibility for the Wolves. With Ju in the lineup we refuse to lose to average to bad teams, and I see Indy without Siakam as an average team.kekgeek wrote: ↑Mon Mar 17, 2025 12:13 amSiakam always ruled out and Hali added to the injury report tonight. Very few Klunkers happening in my spreadsheet, so very little movement...although I have dropped Dallas down to 38 wins with all their injuries. I still have the Wolves, Houston and GS tied for 5th with 49 wins, 2 games behind Denver and Memphis. GS seems invincible right now, but how are they going to hold up down the stretch relying on 3 35+ players...when is General Soreness going to start missing games? I have both of GS and Houston winning their upcoming games with Denver, so if they put up Klunkers and the Wolves keep holding serve, we will be all alone in 5th.

The Western playoff race has already been pretty fun the last week or so, and it should only get better. Other than OKC, you've got 6 teams separated by 3.5 games at 2 through 7 and obviously, falling to the 7th seed would suck. Plus you've got the Clippers not too far behind in 8th place. Damn, I love this game.

On second thought...
I'm not gonna win the Wins Prediction contest.
Again.

Re: Playoffs discussion
Devastating loss to the G League Pacers, although they appear to be an incredibly deep team...still had to beat them though. Fortunately the Warriors also had a klunker, losing to a Nuggets team sitting three starters including Jokic. It looked like Houston was also going to end up with a klunker against Philly, but their overtime win left them a game ahead of the Wolves and GS in my projection with 49 wins. The Warriors and Wolves are tied for 6th with 48 wins, but we get the 7th seed with the Warriors holding the tiebreaker.
Re: Playoffs discussion
As I try to stay upbeat after the turd our guys laid last night, I predict that we flip the switch on the Pacers and beat them on their court next week for an anti-klunker. And then if Denver can take care of GS and Milwaukee can beat Houston, we'll be sitting by ourselves in 5th on my forecast in a week. But that's a lot to ask for, and first we have to take care of business by beating the Pelicans twice...not an easy task. Sure would have been better had we held serve last night though.
Re: Playoffs discussion
You're still angling for that #5 seed... KOM still shows the Wolves with a 2-game lead for the #6 seed, but #5 is still a reach.FNG wrote: ↑Tue Mar 18, 2025 9:39 am As I try to stay upbeat after the turd our guys laid last night, I predict that we flip the switch on the Pacers and beat them on their court next week for an anti-klunker. I'm just not as down as everyone else on that Pacer loss. Yeah, we had a lot of problems, starting with that 1st half effort, and our poor crunch time execution. But what an incredible shooting night from the Pacers! And even with that rare kind of shooting, the game still went to OT. And the incredible shot by Toppin to win it at the end of OT?!?
Yeah, we have stuff to address, but ya gotta tip your hat to the Pacers and say "good luck doing it next time".
Warriors get the Bucks tonight after their deflating loss last night. KOM says the Warriors should win, so we are on klunker alert. Which, by the way, would vault the Wolves in to the 6th spot!
