Playoffs discussion
Re: Playoffs discussion
If we beat the Grizzlies in Memphis and win the home games we should win (Utah and Nets), we’ll avoid the playin. If we lose to Memphis we’ll likely be finish 7th or 8th and end up fighting for a playoff birth in the playin tournament.rapsuperstar31 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 05, 2025 1:04 pm Remaining schedules:

Re: Playoffs discussion
Well back in 6th after Memphis and LAC win again. If the Wolves win out, it will take Memphis out of any tie break scenario and assure top 6 unless I'm missing a different scenario. Should be 2 high-intensity games coming up!
Re: Playoffs discussion
Yep, likely avoid the playin if we beat Memphis, Utah and the Nets. But we can also finish 6th if we beat the Bucks and lose to Memphis. That would likely put us in a 3-way tie for 6th with the Clippers and the Griz, and we would have the tiebreaker based on best conference record. So the road to avoiding the play in is to win three of the next 4 either way. Win all 4, and even better things can happen.Lipoli390 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 05, 2025 10:09 pmIf we beat the Grizzlies in Memphis and win the home games we should win (Utah and Nets), we’ll avoid the playin. We took care of business barely against the Philadelphia G League team. But Detroit didn't help us, losing to a Memphis team missing Ja (who I believe was out with a hangover). Ja's unpredictability could be a big factor in our game with them next week.

Lakers are putting on a historic shooting display against the Thunder, we're going to have to just keep winning because no one else wants to help us!

Down goes Denver! Houston is up 7 on the Warriors heading to the 4th

May be the Wolves will finally get some help.BloopOracle wrote: ↑Sun Apr 06, 2025 9:28 pm Down goes Denver! Houston is up 7 on the Warriors heading to the 4th
Denver has really been struggling of late, despite Jokic's nightly heroics. I can't believe how durable that dude is, not just in terms of injury, but in terms of being able to maintain such a high level of production carrying such a heavy load night in and night out. We see lulls from Ant on a semi-regular basis (and Naz, and Jaden, and Rudy, etc.), but not this dude. Just puts up the equivalent of a career game for most all-star caliber players every single night.

Sitting on a plane at the Singapore airport…
The great thing about Denver being involved with any multi-team tie with the Wolves is that the Wolves 4-0 record against them could catapult the Wolves to the top of the heap!

Warriors are about to lose, pushing us into a 4 way tie for the 5 seed! Denver clings to a half game lead over the pack
Re: Playoffs discussion
Crazy 5 way tie in the loss column of 32 losses. A quick look shows me the head to head to head to head to head records as:
Wolves 8-5
Clippers 8-5
Warriors 7-7
Nuggets 5-8
Grizzlies 4-7
Wolves would win the tie break over LA methinks via either reverting to head to head or moving to conference record.
This is highly unlikely since Memphis plays both Minnesota and Denver still. There are so many scenarios still.
Just keep winning!!!
